Alleviating my dog's lack of exercise with the 3COINS "pet pool"! Will this help us get through the heat?

Dogs tend to become less active in the scorching summer heat. So, I decided to buy the 3COINS "pet pool." Will it really help alleviate their lack of exercise as I thought?

A compact pool that can be used on the veranda bought for my beloved dog

In August, both people and dogs are feeling a bit sluggish these days. My dogs are often found lounging in areas with good air conditioning. Our morning and evening walks have become more restrained due to the heat, making me concerned about their lack of exercise.
So I picked up a "pet pool" from 3COINS. With many bugs in the garden, I was looking for a compact size that could be used on the veranda. This one is about 58×19cm, which is just the size I was looking for!

It's indeed too hot during the day, so I'll fill it with water in the evening when the sun has tilted a bit. I spread out the pool and filled it with room temperature water. The gauge is that it should be deep enough for the feet to get wet, and since it's small, filling it up was quick.
I added waterproof toys, and now it's ready! My dogs, waiting indoors, seem unable to contain their excitement and are scratching at the window.
I want to let them play soon, but I'll check the water temperature one last time. To ensure my dogs can play comfortably, lukewarm water is recommended. It felt a bit too cold this time, so I added a little hot water.

It's been a year since they last played in water; what will their reaction be?

I held them and gradually let them get their feet wet. Since it's been a year since their last water play, they seemed a bit scared at first. By the way, the other dog (Pomechiwa), who gets extremely excited when going to the river, was surprisingly adamant and refused to enter, saying, "I absolutely won't go in!"

It's like it was bought just for the Pomechiwa! Living with these dogs really surprises me every day.
At first, he seemed scared, but after about a minute, he seemed to get used to it. When I splashed the water with my hands, he stared at it intently. He seemed to become interested and started to flap his paws himself.
He walked around in the pool and played with the toys, thoroughly enjoying the water play more than I had imagined. The bottom of the pool is made of a slip-resistant material, so he seems to be enjoying it safely. The outdoor temperature at that time was 32 degrees. Although the temperature is still high, my dogs don’t seem to be hot at all.
After playing for about 10 minutes, I asked, "Do you want to go inside?" and he firmly rejected it with a "No!" I thought this dog hated water, but it seems like he has really taken a liking to it. After playing a lot and using up energy, he fell soundly asleep after I dried him off with a hairdryer.

The dog who couldn't get into the pool was very satisfied!

On the other hand, the dog who couldn't get into the pool is struggling from a strong desire not to want to go in, trying to grab the toys from the outside. He is running around in circles around the pool. He does run and play with the ball at home, but it has been a while since I've seen him so absorbed in play like this.
Pulling with my hands, I took a bite. They run to bring it back. After repeating this 2 to 3 times, it seemed like they got used to it, and their speed increased rapidly.
Now, for the fourth time! When I threw the toy in, they jumped in the pool in excitement. They hurriedly got out as if to say, "Oops!" but at this rate, they seem likely to have fun playing in the pool during the next water play. Occasionally splashing water or with wet hands, they didn't seem to be too hot at all.

When playing outside the pool, make sure to check that the balcony floor isn't too hot before letting them play. This time, just in case, I sprinkled some water around the pool.
So, the 3COINS "pet pool" was an item that even dogs who are not good at water play can enjoy. They played more actively than I expected, so it seems like it will help alleviate their lack of exercise this summer. When folded, it becomes a compact size, so I'm planning to bring it along on trips with my beloved dog this summer.
