The German company "RECARO," which has been involved in seats for motorsport such as F1 and Le Mans, surprises us by developing child seats based on their technology in automobile seat manufacturing. Two types of child seats developed by Recaro, suitable for different age groups. The "Xenon 1" is a child seat that can be used from newborn to 7 years old, and the "Action 1" is a junior seat that can be used from 3 to 12 years old.

Safety honed in the world of motorsports.

Recaro has conducted deeper research on "safety" than anyone else while developing motorsport seats. Generally, child seats can only be installed in the left and right seats of the rear seat, making them particularly vulnerable to side impacts (rear-end collisions). On the other hand, Recaro's child seats are equipped with an integrated cell structure on the sides of the seat to reduce the risks during a collision. They have passed German safety tests that are conducted with higher strength than those in Japan.

Japan-exclusive specifications.

The "Xenon 1" features two Japan-exclusive specifications. The first is the adoption of "I-Bird Mesh (a mesh fabric with small holes that resemble bird eyes)" in the seat fabric, tailored for the hot summer of Japan. The second is the "sunshade" to protect from strong sunlight. Both specifications are designed with the comfort of the children riding in mind.
