Ferraris lined up in Tokyo Midtown! "Ferrari Festival Tokyo 2026" event report
The "Ferrari Festival Tokyo 2026" was held at Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi, Tokyo. A special event where attendees could experience Ferrari's performance, design, and motorsport history, as well as the introduction of Luce, Ferrari's first full EV.
The 17 cars that tell the story of Ferrari's history and evolution
Ferrari Japan held the "Ferrari Festival Tokyo 2026" at Tokyo Midtown for nine days until October 4th. I attended an event in the outdoor garden area where general visitors with prior reservations could take their time to look around.
In the garden area and courtyard, a total of 17 Ferraris were lined up, providing a rare opportunity to see both old and new precious Ferraris all at once. The experience was very unique, and as I moved around each car with the QR code information on the plates, time flew by in an instant.
At the venue, not only fans seemed to be enthusiastically aiming their cameras, but there were also mothers with small children and couples who appeared to be students. It was very impressive to see future Ferrari owners watching with sparkling eyes.

Upon entering the entrance, the current models, including the 296 Speciale A, were overwhelmingly impressive. Now that I think about it, I usually don't visit Ferrari showrooms (or can't), so I probably haven't had many opportunities to see Ferraris up close like this. As I gazed at them again, their design left a vivid impression. I also couldn't help but peek at the tire sizes and vehicle height.
The sleek DAYTONA SP3 from any angle. As a homage to the legendary sports prototype cars of the 1960s, the third model in Ferrari's official "Icona" series, produced in a limited edition of 599 units worldwide, was displayed in the center of the venue.
The glamorous rear view, with its straight lines and curves, was striking. It was a very good experience to take my time searching for my favorite angles while enjoying the view.

Invitees also had the opportunity to participate in the Amalfi test drive program.
On this day, Satoru Ireijou, who is behind the luxury brand "TOUR RECORD," themed around travel and memories, was present. There was a special program to test drive the Amalfi, and after a briefing, we drove around Roppongi.
The test drive program, which included driving around Roppongi from the entrance of The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo, was limited to invited guests, who are believed to be potential future Amalfi owners, but just seeing the car drive was a visual delight. Furthermore, the sound produced by the 3.8L V8 twin-turbo really makes you feel that it is a genuine sports car, stirring the heart.
According to Mr. Ireijou, who actually drove it, the feedback was that "the Amalfi is easy to drive and simply wonderful." With a luxurious 640ps/7500rpm, it’s a dream machine that makes me also want to grip that steering wheel someday, zipping through the streets of Roppongi.
And the much-discussed Ferrari-origin EV, Luce, is also
the Luce, which has been making waves around the world with its innovative interior and exterior created in collaboration with "LoveFrom," the design company led by legendary former Apple designer Jony Ive.
This is also an exclusive private preview for invitees. It made its Japan debut as Ferrari's first full-electric sports car. Although it has already been widely reported in television news and other outlets, according to Emanuele Caland, Ferrari's Global Product Marketing Director, the development of Luce is not merely a response to environmental changes, but a "choice" made by Ferrari itself.
It evokes a sense of determination for the new era while preserving tradition and pride.

Equipped with independently driven motors for each wheel, four-wheel independent steering, and four-wheel active suspension, it achieves extremely high agility. The specs, including a maximum output of 1050 ps and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, are indeed special. Even as an electric vehicle, it is designed to resonate with an authentic sound without compromising the unique emotions of Ferrari, presenting a car that captivates the world.
The price starts at 76.23 million yen in Japan, adding to its exclusivity, but it's surprising to hear that the planned number of units in Japan is almost sold out already. On this day, it was only an indoor display for invitees, but I was able to touch the steering wheel and feel the seats. Sitting in the seat, you definitely get the sense that it's a Ferrari, and it leaves the impression that it has been meticulously designed.
Valuable Ferraris from years past! The sight of them lined up in Roppongi is magnificent.
At the back of the venue are the F40, symbolizing the 1980s, the F50 from the 1990s, and the Enzo Ferrari from the 21st century, named after the founder. Many people likely have special feelings for this era, not just for the latest models. The Rosso Corsa (Racing Red) is indeed vibrant, embodying the flair of Ferrari. It attracted the attention of not only the older generation but also many women.
The Monza SP1 is a limited single-seater vehicle produced exclusively in a total of 499 units (combined with the SP2) between 2019 and 2022. Its classical racing style is certainly popular, and it is indeed a Ferrari that commands a price in the hundreds of millions. It features an elegant body accompanied by a 6.5L V12 naturally aspirated engine. It was impressive to see the young children, around preschool age, joyfully exclaiming, "I want to ride this when I grow up!"
There are lounges like this in the area where visitors were relaxing. There were many rainy days during the event, and the area under the parasol was constantly popular.
The 2026 specification F1 machine SF-26 (in the foreground) and the 499P (at the left rear) which made its works return in the Le Mans 24-hour race were also on display. The new generation hybrid supercar equipped with large cooling intakes, alongside the 1200ps F80, drew many visitors who couldn't help but stop to admire its special aura.
In fact, not only Ferrari fans and motorsport enthusiasts but people from all generations and various nationalities found themselves stopping in their tracks at the "Ferrari Festival Tokyo 2026." The garden area required reservations (first-come, first-served) for general visitors, so if there is another event in the future, be sure to check it out.
