With rare and expensive cars lined up before you, running! A report on the "Boso Running Festival 2025" for car lovers

From December 6th to 7th, the "Boso Running Festival 2025" was held at THE MAGARIGAWA CLUB in Minamiboso City, Chiba Prefecture. More than 300 incredible cars gathered at this world-class private driving club, which is normally members-only!

Overwhelmed by the incredible cars lined up at the venue

The "Bousosai Festival 2025," with a total of 4,000 attendees over two days, became the largest event ever held. It was a truly unique event where rare cars and hypercars from both Japan and abroad gathered.

In the special area on the premises, a display plan called "Concept Parking," featuring a variety of super sports cars by members and general applicants, was lined up. Expectations soared from this point.
On this day, the car that garnered the most attention from visitors was the Aston Martin Valkyrie (shown in the top image). Its breathtakingly low and beautiful form immediately astonished everyone.

Walking up to the clubhouse along the driving course of THE MAGARIGAWA CLUB, there were cars lined up that one could rarely see in everyday life.
Both adults and children were captivated by the beautiful Ferraris, with their stunning colors and styles. The highlight of the Bousosai Festival was that these cars would run at full throttle. The excitement comes from knowing it’s not just a display.

In addition, impressive cars from McLaren, Pagani, Porsche, and the Nissan GT-R were on display, keeping the attendees' eyes entertained.
Adults were also fixated on the classic supercars. Alongside the Countach, Lamborghini had both “old and new” models on display, almost like a museum. It was truly enjoyable to see such cars start their engines and move.
By the way, professional drivers were spotted here and there around the venue. Perhaps it was Mr. Ronnie Quintarelli and Mr. Toshimitsu Motoyama; their fan services, such as ride-alongs and photo sessions, are one of the ways to enjoy the Bozōsai Festival.
Furthermore, prominent professional drivers representing Japan, including Mr. Kamui Kobayashi, Mr. Toshiaki Waki-saka, Mr. Kenta Yamashita, Mr. Sho Tsuboi, and Mr. Nobuharu Matsushita, appeared and showcased their driving on the course.
Anyway, at the "Bozōsai Festival 2025," there were also historic cars like this. The Toyota 2000GT moved along the same path as people at the venue before entering the course. Experiencing the sound of the rare engine and the unique smell up close is a rare experience.
We head towards the clubhouse located at the top, but looking at the amazing cars lined up along the way makes you forget the time.

And beyond the climb, there was a car surrounded by a particularly large crowd.
Displayed at the Pagani booth was the Utopia. Featuring a mid-engine rear-wheel drive, a 6-liter V12 twin-turbo engine, a carbon-titanium body, and an exquisite subframe design, it elicits gasps at its beauty that one could almost call a physical aesthetic. By the way, the weight of the car is just 1280kg.
The Lamborghini Huracán was showcased on artificial snow with a carrier. Celebrities might go skiing with such a car, but I can't help but wonder if there are any sizes for studless tires.

Its appearance racing down the driving course with a great sound was magnificent.

The highlight of the event, the special driving program "BOSO Spirit of Drive," featured about 175 vehicles, including hypercars, circuit-exclusive models, and classic cars, some of which are rare both domestically and internationally. Especially in the "Hyper Car" running session, there were impressive scenes reminiscent of overseas events.
This (image above) is the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro. This is the circuit-exclusive model of the Valkyrie, limited to 40 units worldwide, and is said to be a hypercar valued between 400 and 500 million yen. The Cosworth 6.5-liter V12 engine, which revs over 11,000 rpm, roars with a great sound, and I was moved by its appearance racing along the driving course as if crawling on the ground.
The Ferrari Monza SP1 is equipped with a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 810 horsepower and weighs just 1500 kg. Despite the Monza SP1/SP2 being a limited production model with only 499 units combined, it raced down the thrilling course. With its good looks, it particularly attracted the attention of visitors.
Behind the Ferrari Monza SP2, the Bentley Continental GT Speed comes drifting by. Although they differ in weight and concept, they are all cars born to run. The excitement of being able to see such lively appearances simultaneously is not just about their rarity.

Enjoying the ups and downs of the course on foot

By the way, THE MAGARIGAWA CLUB, established on a private property surrounded by the rich nature of Minamiboso, is Asia's first member-only private driving club, featuring a dynamic layout that takes advantage of the elevation differences under the supervision of world-renowned track designer Tilke. The dedicated driving course, approximately 3.5 km in length, allows for a wide range of driving experiences from high-speed to technical, it seems.
Walking from the entrance, feeling the undulations, to the clubhouse at the summit gives you a sense of the gradient akin to mountain climbing. Several tuk-tuks are making rounds on-site, with some people moving without walking. Especially on the uphill, it’s a bit enviable.

However, because rare cars are lined up, and you can see incredible vehicles climbing gradients while making beautiful sounds on the driving course, it actually makes for an enjoyable event where you can take your time to walk and see.
One of the features of the Bousousai festival is the sight of almost all the cars' engines roaring as they head out onto the course one after another. Such an event is unparalleled in Japan.
On this day, those with a special pass can enjoy the benefit of watching the course while having a meal in a kotatsu. Such services are delightful for the December event.

The Boso Running Festival 2025 where you can experience amazing cars from around the world

Being able to see rare cars up close and being moved by their running姿, while also enjoying the usually members-only THE MAGARIGAWA CLUB. "Boso Running Festival 2025" was an experience that felt both unique and special.

That said, simply seeing expensive cars is a visual delight. The author thought it would be great if there were more ways for car enthusiasts to enjoy such experiences while reminiscing about the dream-filled days of motor shows.
