It seems that a renowned Swiss-made carabiner, which was hard to obtain in Japan, is now being imported and sold.

Precision and sturdy carabiner LE Hook

Manufactured in Switzerland, a country known for producing excellent industrial and design products like watches, the LE Hook carabiner. Thanks to its precision design, the "k88 model" boasts a load capacity of about 200 kg, while the larger "k116 model" impressively supports a load capacity of about 500 kg.

Also known as the Carahook, this carabiner has been in production since 1970. Due to requests from long-time users, it has been imported to Japan.<

In fact, there was a dedicated man who made it possible to purchase this LE Hook again.

It all started when he lost the LE Hook he bought in Paris in 1970 while still attached to his keys. His LE Hook was always carried as a keyholder, experiencing aging over time, and had developed a wonderful glossy aluminum color.

Despite searching for 2-3 days, he couldn't find it. At that moment, what worried him was not the loss of the keys, but the question, "Is it possible to re-obtain the LE Hook?" His subsequent actions led to what is known today.

Noticing that LE Hook users around the world were frequently searching online, he went through various twists and turns and succeeded in reviving it in the 70s, leading to the present day.

The "k116 model" has an impressive load capacity of about 500kg. The "k88 model" has a load capacity of about 200kg. Even just these numbers show that it is a heavy-duty item.

Not only sturdy, but featuring a simple structure that makes it easy to use, the ''quick-release open'' keychain can be opened and closed with one hand. By pressing the buttons on both sides in the center and sliding the main body, one side of the hook opens, featuring an extremely simple structure of the quick release (opening and closing) mechanism, with the opposite side of the hook (the round ring part) designed to rotate.

It is a finely crafted and sturdy carabiner, but it is easy to use as a key holder that can be threaded through a belt loop like this.

Currently available for sale at https://www.lehook.jp/. By the way, it seems there is no packaging such as boxes or bags. Only brand new and unused products are shipped. Minor scratches and blemishes from the manufacturing process are said to be shipped as normal products.
