【Shop Visit】A little-known Korean select shop “National Point” opened in Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo

On August 1st, a new select shop “National Point” opened in Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo. I took a peek at this hidden shop located in an office building room.

The select shop "National Point" is a new hub that offers a range of Korean masterpieces, primarily featuring leather jackets, leather bags, and leather accessories. It carefully selects various fashion items, including high-quality leather "TOUR RECORD" and brands crafted by Korean leather artisans.

The shop concept is to "deliver the local atmosphere and story." With a lineup that conveys this thought and background, the shop aims to create a space where customers can feel the connections to culture, in collaboration with producer Satoru Ireijou, who met friends and partners in the area. The shop opened to achieve this.

Although it's located in an office building, inside there is a wide array of leather jackets and leather coats crafted by artisans. You can try them on and feel the texture of various materials, including horsehide and cowhide. It is a space where high-end leather jackets are gathered, allowing for a real experience of their touch.

The sukajan from "Jackson Square Tokyo Shibuya" is also on display. Originally part of an ultra-high-end line that comes in a paulownia box, here you can select handmade sukajan by Japanese artisans priced between 90,000 to 160,000 yen.

Bags and leather accessories are also plentiful.

The second bags and tote bags crafted by producer Satoru Ireijou are also available. The texture of the leather and the meticulous details are of high quality, making it an item that provides a high level of satisfaction just by holding it. The price is somewhat high, but it reflects the craftsmanship that you can cherish for a long time. The horse leather shoulder bag is priced at 128,000 yen, while the tote bag made with cow leather suede is 248,000 yen.

There is an abundant selection of leather accessories such as card cases and key cases. The prices are relatively reasonable, making it a perfect lineup for those looking for gifts.

There is also a lineup of limited items from Starbucks that were obtained in Korea. This cup is said to be particularly popular. Such pop items that are difficult to obtain in Japan also add to the charm of "National Point."

The early bird special gift for the opening celebration is a pen case made from rare leather.

As a commemoration of the opening, the first 30 customers will receive a pen case made from rare leathers such as crocodile leather. If you visit early, you might be able to get one.

A “hidden gem” select shop located in an office building room. Although it's a hidden existence, it's noted that you can visit without an appointment.
