If you can open your laptop and work while on the move during business trips or sales, your travel time becomes much more meaningful. Supporting that work is a charging environment that doesn’t keep devices waiting. From memory and electronic device manufacturer Adtec, the "ACPD-V083AC" series of in-car PD chargers that can rapidly charge laptops inside the vehicle has been launched.

With a maximum output of 83W, the "ACPD-V083AC" supports PC work and video viewing inside the car. The USB Type-C port supports USB Power Delivery (PD) and outputs up to 65W, allowing for proper charging of devices that require relatively high power such as laptops and tablets. The USB Type-A port also supports a maximum output of 18W, making smartphone charging comfortable.

Being able to work in the car with the same sense as in a café or office allows for more freedom in how long-distance drives and business trips are spent. It's reassuring that it supports a wide range of charging standards including PD3.0, PPS, and QC5.0.

One nice feature is that the USB Type-C and USB Type-A ports each use independent circuits. This means you can charge a laptop through Type-C while simultaneously charging a smartphone through Type-A, eliminating the frustration of "the smartphone charging stops when the PC is plugged in." It's convenient not only during business travel but also when families want to charge their devices on a drive. Just having an organized charging environment in the car makes the travel time more pleasant.

The main unit has a compact design with a diameter of about 33mm and a depth of approximately 77mm, weighing around 42g, making it fit neatly in the cigarette lighter socket without sticking out too much. It supports an input of DC12V to 24V, making it versatile for a wide range of vehicles from compact cars and minivans to larger vehicles like trucks and buses. This is a great feature for those who use multiple vehicles for work.

To fully utilize the high output of 65W, a USB Type-C cable compatible with 5A is required. This series includes not only a model with just the charger body (2590 yen) but also a set model (3490 yen) that comes with a silicone USB Type-C cable (about 1m) supporting 100W and equipped with eMarker. It is configured to allow high-output charging right after purchase.
