"MF Ghost 3rd Season" Starts! Completed the stamp rally in the sacred place of Manazuru Town, Kanagawa Prefecture

The new season of "MF Ghost", the successor to "Initial D", titled "MF Ghost 3rd Season", will start airing on January 4, 2026, on TOKYO MX and other channels. Therefore, I challenged the collaborative stamp rally currently being held in Manazuru Town, the backdrop of the work. Although I participated in hopes of getting some goodies, I had a surprisingly fun day filled with unexpected discoveries and encounters.

The collaboration stamp rally held in Manazuru Town is

one of the collaboration projects between Manazuru Town and MF Ghost, a digital stamp rally utilizing smartphones. There is also a sticker giveaway campaign using designated service providers, but this time I am participating focused solely on the stamp rally.
'MF Ghost 3rd Season' × MANAZURU Collaboration Campaign
Duration: Until March 31, 2026
Location: Various places within Manazuru Town
Organizer: Manazuru Town Tourism Promotion Organization, Public Interest Incorporated Association
This campaign involves scanning QR codes located at the reception spots: "Ohayashi Observation Park," "Manazuru Station Tourist Information Center," and "Manazuru Town Tourism Association" to access the designated campaign site. Then, heading to the stamp rally spots, you can use location information to collect a total of 12 stamps. By the way, among the receptions mentioned above, "Ohayashi Observation Park" and "Manazuru Station Tourist Information Center" are included among the 12 locations.

As I use an iPhone, I set the necessary location sharing settings using Safari, but it took some effort to get it right, and I finally managed to complete the settings. The tourist information center where I registered is one of the spots, so I first got the stamp here.

Struggled with the many local narrow roads while driving around Manazuru Peninsula.

There are about six points clustered around the station, so I had planned to quickly gather them using my car, but I made a regrettable mistake by accidentally heading toward the fishing port at the tip of the peninsula because of the very complex layout of the intersection in front of the station.

My plans went awry, but after heading south, I returned to the area in front of the station.
I passed through the shopping district from the station and stopped by the two spots, “Manazuru Port” and “Kifune Shrine”, before arriving at “Kotogahama Beach”. This area is also a place I visited during a pilgrimage interview I did previously and is a spot where impressive scenes are depicted in the work.

Running around the town again, I found that there are elevation changes in some places, and the roads are narrow, so moving by car might be more challenging than I expected.
Next, I headed to “Mitsuishi Coast”, the southernmost stamp spot. It’s a place where you can purchase souvenirs and have meals, and if you descend the stairs along the cliff, you can see the scenic Mitsuishi, making it a popular spot for many tourists.
It seems that the parking lot, which used to charge fees when I visited before, is now free, making it even more accessible. This time, I used the free parking lot located in front.
In fact, when I arrived at the parking lot, there was a cat resting on top of a GR86 that was parked there, staring at me. Although it’s not the Toyota 86 that appears in the work, I feel a connection in the fact that the cat specifically chose to sit on the 86 among several cars parked there. It seems to represent a collaboration between the laid-back atmosphere of Manazuru and the exhilarating feeling of MF Ghost, which is quite heartwarming.

You can receive a clear file by getting 6 stamps even if you don't complete it

You can exchange prizes at the reception locations "Ohayashi View Park," "Manazuru Station Tourist Information Center," and "Manazuru Town Tourism Association." Even if you don’t complete it, you can get the clear file by collecting 6 stamps. I just happened to gather 6 stamps at Ohayashi View Park, so I tried to exchange them. The clear file features the main character's face designed against the backdrop of the Manazuru landscape.

I shifted to walking and quickly got the stamps near the station

I aimed to return to the remaining spots near the station, but I was guided towards an alley that made me think, "Can I even enter?" So, I parked in the parking lot and shifted to walking. Near the station, there are remaining spots concentrated like the "Manazuru Town Hall" and "Manazuru Community Center," "Manazuru Information Center," "Sagamihara Shinkin Bank", so I got them in succession while walking.

I finally arrived at the steeply sloped "Arai Castle Ruins Park," with only 1 stamp left.

I discovered a breathtaking spot on my first visit and completed all 12 stamps.

Finally, I achieved completion at the "Iwakai Beach", where I can get a panoramic view of the Iwadai Bridge! The scenery is so beautiful, like something out of an anime opening, and I had no idea such a place existed! By participating in this stamp rally, I was able to enjoy the scenery of Manazuru that I had never seen before and discover new charms.

I also had a fulfilling day interacting with the cheerful staff

Lastly, I headed to the "Manazuru Town Tourism Association" near Manazuru Fishing Port to exchange my prize for completing the rally. The prizes for completion can be exchanged at the Manazuru Town Tourism Association and Ohayashi Observation Park. Welcomed by the friendly staff, I exchanged my prize while sharing my impressions of the experience and purchased some merchandise, marking the end of the stamp rally.

When I asked whether this stamp rally was designed for "cars" or "walking," I was told that it is fundamentally intended to be conducted mainly on foot.
While it is relatively easy to drive near the southern end of the peninsula around Cape Manazuru, many points other than that are quite difficult to access without walking, with steep inclines that are completely impassable for lowered cars.

For those who are likely sports car owners, who are fans of MF Ghost, it seems better to include walking in their plans if they try to take on the challenge.
It seems that in addition to the currently available items, new merchandise will also be stocked, so there will still be much to enjoy in the campaign even after the anime airs. The stamp rally will be held until March 31, 2026, so why not visit Manazuru to get into the spirit of the work?
