The series was developed in response to the record snowfall that occurred in the Kanto and Koshin region in February 2014. It focuses on being boots rather than rubber boots so that they can be worn at any time, and they are comfortable enough to jog in. They perform well even on rough terrain, making them suitable for outdoor activities.

In the latest work, the outsole of the "V Gear 163" has been inherited for the first time in the series to a sneaker, pursuing ease of wear while maintaining waterproofness and grip. It is designed to fit even those with wider feet, with a commitment to fine-tuning every detail of the design.

The laces are no-tie, eliminating the need to tie them, and the heel is soft, allowing for smooth on-and-off even when busy. Additionally, it is said that the slip resistance is equivalent to that of safety shoes.

The design features a raised toe spring similar to hiking boots, making it easy to walk in, and the soft toe means that your toes won't easily tire even after long periods of wear, which is a key point.

Note that the outsole is waterproof. The material used for the upper and other parts is water-repellent knit, which only repels water to some extent, so please be aware that it is different from other "V Gear 163" series.

After being turned down by factories, it took over a year to complete.
