Inside, two layers of functional fabric and a special material capsule patch are bonded to respond to the gases and odors produced in the early stages of thermal runaway. This allows for a precious 2-3 minute window before primary thermal runaway occurs, enabling quick manual handling and movement, as well as initial responses like submerging in water.
