[Our Youth] The excitement of boyhood comes back to life! A large radio cassette player packed with the latest features

The overwhelming-scale deep bass and bubble-era radio cassette player look we once longed for have made a miraculous comeback, fully equipped with the latest digital functions such as Bluetooth and CD. I want to experience again, in today’s quality, that thrilling pleasure of “owning and operating” music!

Born from one developer’s “youthful comeback”

In the 1980s, large radio cassette players were an object of boys’ admiration, yet too expensive to afford. The passionate feelings held by the developer in charge, who was obsessed with audio at the time, and the enthusiasm from fans for the previous model, “SCR-B9.” It was the coming together of these factors that led to the launch of the “SCR-B10” project.

Faithfully reproducing the design and sound quality of the era, it not only lets you enjoy cassette tapes sleeping in your home once again, but also blends in modern digital features such as Bluetooth and CD. Nostalgic for the cassette generation and fresh for younger generations, it has been finished as an item that everyone can get excited about.

The fusion of 80s “hands-on delight” and the latest digital technology

With an overall width of about 75 cm and a weight of about 15.6 kg, this mega-size unit exudes an overwhelming presence as the largest in the series. Simply placing it in a room brings back the audio fever of that era, boasting extraordinary presence and detail.

Powerful total output of 60W.Equipped with a Class D amplifier that drives eight speaker drivers (10W + 20W + 20W + 10W), it boasts overwhelming power.<

A 15 cm double woofer, together with a rear bass-reflex design and large woofer, reproduces rich bass. The left and right independent level control function lets you adjust the bass balance to your preference.

On the center coaxial axis of the 15 cm full-range speaker is a 2.5 cm tweeter. It delivers excellent sound imaging, making the positions of vocals and instruments stand out clearly.

It is equipped with a horn-type “piezo super tweeter” that covers frequencies above 20 kHz, beautifully complementing the high range. You’ll surely be captivated by its sparkling treble. In addition, you can also wirelessly play music from your smartphone via Bluetooth connection. Remote operations such as play, pause, and track skip are also possible using the buttons on the unit.

With a digital tuner that supports Wide FM,in addition to AM/FM broadcasting, it also supports Wide FM, which is reassuring in the event of a disaster. It also comes with two rod antennas and a mono reception function useful in areas where the signal is weak.

What’s especially appealing is the automatic slot-loading mechanism reminiscent of the transitional era of car stereos. It supports playback of CD-DA and MP3 formats, as well as CD-R/RW media.

Equipped with an “LED level meter” whose lights dance in response to the audio signal. It recreates the retro presentation of audio equipment from that era, letting you enjoy music visually as well.

Personally, I’m very intrigued by the full-fledged karaoke function with electronic echo.Since it has two microphone input terminals, you can connect two mics and enjoy duets, and it also works as a PA speaker for events.
