This time, I tried washing my sweat-drenched T-shirt from camping using a wash bag.

I placed the T-shirt inside the wash bag,

added about 500ml of water from a plastic bottle, and

added one capful of liquid detergent, sealing it tightly.

Holding the wash bag with both hands, I shook it up and down for about 1-2 minutes, and bubbles began to form inside, with the T-shirt moving around well in the water. The 3COINS wash bag is transparent, so it's nice that you can easily see what's going on inside.

You can check the internal foaming and how dirt dissolves from the outside, so I could visually feel the assurance of "being properly cleaned."

After washing, drain the water, and if there are any bubbles left, refill with fresh water and rinse. Three rinses were enough.

Finally, twist the ends of the wash bag and wring out the moisture from the T-shirt thoroughly, and you're done. If you hang the T-shirt, it dries pleasantly by early afternoon.

The reassurance of "being washable."

In previous camping trips, I brought back "dirty clothes = things to wash after returning." However, just being able to do a minimum amount of maintenance on site significantly lightens both the load and the mind.

The expansion of the range I can control was a significant mental change. Especially when camping with children, dealing with unexpected dirt and sweat is part of the experience, so the reassurance of "being washable" is greater than I expected.

The reason I felt it could also be useful for disaster prevention

What I realized after trying it out is that the wash bag seems usable as a disaster prevention item. It allows for easy clothing maintenance without using electricity or gas, and just having water is very reassuring in emergencies.

The feeling of regaining the freedom to choose laundering

Using the wash bag didn't dramatically change my life. However, just having the option to "wash here if needed" instead of "giving up because I can't wash" has certainly reduced the small inconveniences I felt while outdoors or traveling.
