If I have time, I'd like to stop by Tama Central Park in Tama City, Tokyo with my beloved dogs. I took a stroll in the park during early summer to try out 3COINS' summer heat protection items for dogs.

We arrived at Tama Central Park located in Tama City, Tokyo. This park is spacious and has lawns where dogs can run around and a relaxing café, making it the perfect location for dog owners. It is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Tama Center Station, featuring a large pond, a grassy area with a beautiful view, and lush greenery along with a café, a traditional house, and a playground for parents and children. Looking around the park, many people are walking with their dogs.

There's a nearby shared parking lot in the Tama Center area, which makes it easy to access by car.

Our beloved dog, who loves Tama Central Park, is always in a high spirit upon arrival. Wagging its tail almost off, it happily runs around.

The temperature on that day was 22 degrees. While it felt comfortable for people, when I touched my dog's head, it was hotter than I expected. I almost missed the warning signs of danger from my dog. It was a moment that made me painfully aware that a dog's sensory temperature is completely different from that of humans. Even though a cool breeze blows between the rainy season, the direct sunlight is strong, so I thought I should be careful.

I want to protect my dog's head and eyes from direct sunlight, so I'm going to try a "sun cape hat."

So, I brought two dog items from 3COINS to try out.

The first one is the "sun cape hat." It is made of cooling contact fabric that becomes cool when wet and efficiently cools the neck area while blocking sunlight. There are holes for the ears, and the size can be adjusted with the drawcord on the neck part.

My dog wearing the "sun cape hat" and "summer shoes" looks like a little explorer. With equipment that is different from usual, it seems somewhat proud.

However, unfortunately, the "hat with a sun cape" seemed a bit large for my dog, and when she ran around vigorously or shook her body, she would spin around like in the photo above.

Basically, she was stable while taking a walk, so surprisingly, she didn't seem to mind. Perhaps it was because her whole head felt cool. Her rough breathing also started to calm down.

Next, I tried out the "summer shoes" that seem to be necessary for the summer.

The second pair is the "summer shoes" that I plan to introduce once it gets really hot. Today, for practice, I put them on her front paws. A few years ago, I had once put dog shoes on her, but at that time, she became completely immobile, leaving me with a bitter memory. Will she be able to walk safely this time?

At first, putting on the shoes was a bit awkward, and she walked as if she were a robot. She seemed to want to say, "There's something on my feet..." lifting her front paws high with each step, and although I felt sorry for her, it was quite cute, and I couldn’t help but chuckle.

It seems that after 5 minutes, any discomfort disappeared, and I am happily running around. My walking style has returned to normal. It was my first time wearing summer shoes in a while, but with these, I feel they will perform well for serious summer asphalt measures.

There still seems to be a bit of difficulty walking, so today’s practice ends here. After that, I will let him enjoy a leisurely walk in Tama Central Park.

The café restaurant "44APARTMENT" is pet-friendly and allows dogs.

After plenty of play, the dogs are satisfied. The owners want to take a break, so we head to the café restaurant "44APARTMENT" located in the park. This place is pet-friendly and allows us to eat inside with our dogs, but this time, I will opt for an easy takeout of "Fresh Milk Soft" (450 yen).

A pet food menu is also available. There are also menus like pizza that are not often seen, so it’s nice to be able to eat inside with the dogs when we get hungry.

On pleasant days, the terrace seats are comfortable. Enjoying soft serve ice cream while gazing at the park that spreads out in front of me became an exceptional delight. The cool sweetness seeps pleasantly into my tired body after walking a lot.

For concluding a walk, I recommend the best bench.

When walking in Tama Central Park, the bench I stop by at the end is right in front of the large pond, where there is a chair that you can lean against. The view of the large pond from this seat is truly beautiful, making it our family's favorite spot.

Having our beloved dogs on our laps and reflecting on the enjoyable events of the day as a family is one of the joys. Just watching my family's smiles makes me feel happy too. While preparing for the heat before the full-fledged summer arrives, I'm looking forward to enjoying more strolls in Tama Central Park.
