【Exploring Osaka】How about stopping by after USJ? I made my mixed juice debut at the retro café "Yumeumi"

After playing at USJ, I stayed at a hotel located at JR "Higashiyodogawa Station," which is one station away from Shin-Osaka Station. I had some time before the shinkansen, so I casually walked around and found a retro-style café called "Muumintroll" (ムーミン).

I want to experience a little more of Osaka! This is a recommendation for a café that suits that feeling.

To the left is the west exit of Higashiyodogawa Station. The destination is about a 12-minute walk from the east exit side of the station.

After visiting USJ, I stayed at a hotel located at JR "Higashiyodogawa Station." I was just about to go home... but I thought, "I want to enjoy Osaka a bit more! But I need to make it in time for the Shinkansen."

Since my hotel had no breakfast plan, I was hungry, so I searched and discovered a café called "Yume Mu Miou" (Moomin) located about 6 minutes from Shin-Osaka Station. According to Google Maps, it was a 12-minute walk from Higashiyodogawa Station, so I decided to go for a stroll to check it out.

Perhaps because it's a nearby area to Shin-Osaka, there were spacious streets, and larger apartment buildings were being built. The streets didn't have the chaotic atmosphere of Dotonbori, but there were still some charming spots that caught my attention.

After descending the pedestrian bridge and walking a bit, there is an irresistible, closed clinic for ruins enthusiasts. Further along, there's Hinode South Park. On weekday evenings, children's laughter probably fills the air.

Beyond Hinode South Park, crossing the street, and entering a little alley, there was the café "Yumeumio." The fluffy greenery is amazing! This looks promising.

It seems like we'll make it in time for the morning service. I mean, a one-coin set is way too cheap these days, isn't it!? Let’s go inside right away.

When I entered, the master with a gentle smile welcomed me at the counter. Unfortunately, I couldn't reveal his face, but he is a very friendly and dandy master, so please do go and meet him.

The atmosphere of a traditional coffee shop is wonderful.

I went in a little after 9 a.m., but more and more people kept coming in until it was full. I guess many people enjoy their mornings in Osaka. It reminded me that at a different coffee shop area in Osaka, it was also bustling in the morning.

It seems there are many regulars as well. For now, I ordered a one-coin morning service.

Looks delicious! The boiled egg was served with ice. Since it was freshly boiled, they added ice so it wouldn't be too hot to eat, which I appreciated for the thoughtful consideration.

The level of doneness is just right. The toast is crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, perfectly toasted. The coffee is rich in flavor and comforting. I'm also happy that it comes with coffee jelly!

The bookshelf was packed with manga, and while I was thinking about what to read, a family with children came in. The kid was ordering a "mixed juice."

"That's right, when you think of Osaka, it's got to be mixed juice!" So I hurriedly added the aspirational and unexperienced mixed juice to my order.

The flavors of banana and peach spread gently, a delightful taste. This is something that makes children want to order it first upon entering. To be honest, I was already full after having the morning service, but I couldn't help but gulp it down.

Of course, the atmosphere and menu inside the shop are nice, but the calming impression of the master is very charming. It's easy to understand why there are so many regulars.

I'm happy to have found a place I want to visit again! "See you again, Osaka"

The author was very satisfied with the delicious morning service, coffee, and mixed juice. After strolling leisurely to Shin-Osaka Station, I boarded the Shinkansen and returned to Tokyo.
