【From London】 Like a cart, it rolls! A folding bike that can also traverse off-road.
The folding bicycle brand "Brompton" from London has launched its first tough model with a 20-inch wheel, the "G Line." This reliable bike offers excellent off-road capability and braking power, along with easy maintenance. Before its debut in Japan this October, let's take a look at its intriguing design and specifications.
20-inch large wheels and puncture-resistant tires are reliable
Born in 1975, the London-based folding bicycle brand "Brompton". Its ease of folding in under 20 seconds and iconic design have made it popular, with handcrafting still taking place in London.

The new model "G Line" inherits the compactness of its predecessors while achieving ride quality, stability, and terrain performance similar to that of a full-size bicycle. Although folding bikes are easy to carry, they sometimes leave you wanting more, but this model overturns that impression.

First, we want to draw attention to the 20-inch large wheels and tires, which exude a surprising presence for a folding bicycle. Of course, not only in appearance, but they also ensure stable performance off-road, and the tires boast a custom puncture-resistant design, which is impressive. It is also compatible with tubeless ready.
Hydraulic disc brakes & gears supporting tough riding

To run off-road, you need to look at not just the tires and wheels, but also other parts. The disc brakes, which are being used for the first time in the brand, are hydraulic and maintain performance regardless of terrain or weather.
The Shimano Alfine hub gear has an 8-speed configuration, making it simple to operate and easy to maintain, which is excellent. Since the gears are stored inside the rear hub, they are less likely to get dirty.

The pedals are wide, characteristic of the brand, ensuring ease of pedaling. When folding, simply pressing the release button on the left pedal allows for easy removal.
Can it be rolled like a suitcase!?

Until now, we have looked at off-road performance, but let's check out an interesting feature. When folded, the small wheels attached to the main unit become a cart, allowing it to be rolled like a suitcase. It appears that it can be operated with the saddle or pulled with the handle, which makes it quite convenient.

Available in three sizes S, M, and L to match your height. The colors are available in three shades: Forest Green, Adventure Orange, and Trail Dust White, which look great even in the city.
In any case, it folds compactly, making it easy to load into a car, and it's recommended for various scenes, including fitting into a one-person tent.
