【Mitsubishi】 New "Delica Mini" and "eK Space" Reservations Start! Toughness & Driving Performance Upgrade

Reservations for Mitsubishi's new light super-high wagon "Delica Mini" and "eK Space" have finally started. Let's check out the evolved features and the prices that pique our interest.

The full model change is set to debut in Autumn 2025

Attracted by the enhanced outdoor image styling, the new "Delica Mini" features large semi-circular LED position lamps on the front face, creating a friendly and strong expression. The front bumper and tailgate are adorned with a three-dimensional logo, giving it an outstanding presence. The fender/body lower part is finished in black, providing a look that conveys high performance for outdoor driving.

By verticalizing the angle of the A-pillar, the interior space expands, and the square, wide styling combined with the robust D-pillar offers both thickness and a sense of security. The body colors include two new options: "Sand Beige Pearl" and "Denim Blue Pearl," which harmonize with outdoor scenes.

Also check out the updated interior. In the higher grade, a luxurious beige reminiscent of glamping cottage furniture is the main interior color, while the standard grade features a basic black. The variety of seating arrangements allows for easy loading of large items and securing private space for outdoor activities.

A 12.3-inch Google-equipped infotainment system and a 7-inch LCD meter are integrated into a monolith display that extends from the center of the instrument panel to the driver's seat, giving it an advanced impression. Visibility and operability have also improved. Additionally, the position and angle of the A-pillar have been reconsidered, achieving an increase in interior length of +115mm compared to conventional models. The pillar itself has been made thinner, improving forward visibility and enhancing the sense of openness.

Furthermore, for the first time in a light vehicle, a drive mode has been introduced that finely tunes engine response and ASC controls. Depending on the road conditions, drivers can choose from five modes: POWER, NORMAL, ECO, GRAVEL, and SNOW. The dedicated graphics displayed during mode switching are full of playful elements.

The driving assistance feature “Mitsubishi e-Assist” incorporates the first-ever rear-side collision prevention support system in a light vehicle. It also includes the first rear-side vehicle detection alert system and an intersection vehicle detection alert system in a Mitsubishi light vehicle. The collision damage mitigation brake system uses a wide-angle, high-performance camera and radars mounted on both front sides to detect pedestrians and opposing/crossing vehicles at intersections, implementing a crossing assistance function that helps avoid collisions.

The features are well-equipped, with the 3D Multi-Around Monitor being the first of its kind for Mitsubishi Motors. It allows viewing the vehicle’s surroundings from eight perspectives using four cameras positioned in the front, back, and on both sides of the vehicle. The frontal camera displays a wide-angle view, helping to eliminate blind spots from the driver’s seat with the Nose Panorama View, as well as a Front Under-Floor View that makes the front floor seem transparent, thereby enabling safer driving. Additionally, it is the only kei car that features both approach un-lock and auto lock upon exiting the vehicle simultaneously. Together with the hands-free door function and reservation lock function, it allows for comfortable entry and exit even when carrying luggage.

The new "eK Space" is a vehicle that balances ease of driving in the city with a friendly design. Its front face, featuring a grille connected by a black stripe and cube-shaped LED headlights, leaves a strong impression, with chrome moldings and distinctive press lines conveying a sense of luxury. A new body color, "Denim Blue Pearl," has been added to the lineup.

The dashboard is equipped with a 7-inch color LCD meter and an integrated panel. The interior has a soft impression based on gray, with seat fabric that excels in stretchability, providing a comfortable fit and seating experience. Additionally, in the eK Space, the position and angle of the A-pillar have been reviewed similarly to the Delica Mini.

Three driving modes are offered, allowing you to choose from POWER, NORMAL, or ECO according to your driving style. The functional equipment is also enriched, with a USB port and a dashboard lower tray, front passenger dashboard tray, and upper box for the driver's seat, securing a wealth of storage space. Furthermore, the air conditioning in the G grade features a plasma cluster, ensuring a safer space regardless of the season during family drives.

The G grade of the eK Space also features approach unlock and auto lock upon exit.
