【Toyota】How has the 6th generation new model "RAV4" changed? Packed with first-ever features and priced from 4.5 million yen

There have been many voices saying, "I've been waiting~!" for Toyota's new generation SUV "RAV4". It introduces advanced features that are first adopted by Toyota, with numerous topics that cannot be missed even by non-fans.

The new model, which has evolved further while maintaining the essence of the RAV4

has been a hot topic since its announcement, being the sixth generation of the new “RAV4.” The design features keywords such as Big Foot, which emphasizes large-diameter tires, Lift-up that evokes high off-road capability, and Utility that secures a practical cargo space. These elements express the RAV4’s essence of being able to “go anywhere.”
The driver’s area adopts an island architecture that integrates displays and the shift lever. It features a horizontally positioned instrument panel that makes balance easy for an SUV, navigation and meters that require minimal eye movement, and air conditioning vents placed within easy reach, creating a cockpit that allows the driver to focus on driving.
Three grades are lined up: “Z,” “Adventure,” and the “GR SPORT,” which is scheduled for release within the 2025 fiscal year.

The “Z” boasts a powerful SUV hammerhead and an advanced mesh grille, complemented by decorations inside the grille that create an overwhelming presence. The rear features a seamless design that integrates glass and lights, embodying a sophisticated RAV4 that makes you want to drive against the backdrop of an urban nightscape.
The “Adventure” allows you to feel an overwhelming sense of strength. Its elevated nose and large arch mouldings highlight a rugged and stable appearance. The interior features a dedicated color scheme of green and orange, along with camouflage patterns, allowing you to enjoy an outdoor atmosphere from the moment you step inside.
When going camping or traveling with the family, the luggage inevitably increases. The new RAV4 has pursued spaciousness in the interior while maintaining a user-friendly size. The cargo space secures one of the largest class capacities at 749L. By folding down the back seats, an even larger flat space extends, allowing for smooth loading of longer items such as snowboards.
With the fusion of a 2.5L engine and a high-output motor, it realizes a powerful performance of 240 ps. The electric all-wheel drive (E-Four) finely controls the torque between the front and rear wheels, achieving sharp acceleration and stable cornering. Additionally, it is equipped with a dedicated mode that enhances off-road capability on snowy roads and rough terrains. In every road condition, drivers can experience their ideal driving.
The new RAV4 has evolved as the starting point for Toyota's Software Defined Vehicle (SDV). It adopts a new platform called "Arene," with upgraded image recognition and brake control software. With an expanded detection range, it strengthens collision avoidance at intersections, while the radar cruise control detects merging vehicles' movements more quickly, enabling smooth following.

It also has a feature to assist automatic stopping at the shoulder of the road in case of driver abnormalities. Furthermore, in the future, it will allow for simultaneous updates of multiple functions and customization for each individual. The more you drive it, the more it becomes your supportive companion.
The cockpit features a 12.9-inch large display, the first of its kind for Toyota, standard in all vehicles. In addition to a 3D view monitor that allows you to check the surroundings with a swipe operation, the voice recognition system, which has improved response speed threefold, allows for stress-free operation of navigation and air conditioning.
