An event "LEXUS BEV PLAYGROUND" will be held at three locations: Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya, where you can experience the new value of BEV (battery electric vehicles). In addition to showcasing the latest models, it is packed with opportunities to see, touch, and feel through AR-based driving experiences and art exhibitions. It promises to be a special moment to enjoy a rich and fulfilling future lifestyle with all your senses.

The first event has already taken place in Nagoya (Lexus Gallery MIDLAND SQUARE), where many visitors have had the opportunity to experience the new worldview of Lexus BEVs and realize their appeal. Following this significant response, the event is finally set to be held in Tokyo. It is not just an exhibition where visitors merely "look at" cars, but a "playground" where attendees can intuitively understand how future mobility will enrich everyday life by "seeing, touching, and feeling" for themselves.

Experience the steer-by-wire system

The "Steer-by-wire CHALLENGE" offers a completely different approach to experiencing the "joy of driving." Here, you can experience Lexus's cutting-edge technology, the "steer-by-wire system," through playful content.

Operate a 1/27 scale "RZ" remote-controlled car with the same steering (wheel) as the actual vehicle. Steer-by-wire is a next-generation system where the steering wheel and tires are connected not by a physical shaft but through electric signals. In this booth, you can enjoy the unique response that allows you to turn effortlessly with minimal steering input, all in a gaming atmosphere.

There is also a photo spot where you can take commemorative pictures holding a futuristic steering wheel. It encapsulates the joy of "touch" that both adults and children can become absorbed in.

Interactive Manual Drive for Immersive Experience

What decorates the venue in a glamorous way is the latest BEV from Lexus, the RZ550e. The display of F SPORT. The sharp exterior, pursued for aerodynamics, and the interior crafted from high-quality materials enhance the luxurious feeling just by looking at them. However, the essence of this display is further deep within.

Experience the newly adopted Interactive Manual Drive (IMD) by Lexus through videos and sound. This is an innovative technology that reproduces the shifting sensations of a manual car and sounds that respond immediately to the driver's intention, even though it is an electric vehicle. Sharpen your senses and feel the heartbeat of the future as envisioned by Lexus.

LEXUS BEV Test Drive Event (Tokyo only)

In a surprising turn, you can actually test drive the RZ550e at the Tokyo venue. It will be a rare opportunity to truly experience the much-talked-about steer-by-wire system.

The moment you grip the steering wheel, you will be amazed at the seamless movement and the sensation of the car responding as if it were an extension of your own limbs. Please note that this test drive experience requires advance reservations. Depending on availability, same-day experiences may be possible, but for those who want to feel the future of driving, early reservations are recommended.
