【Car】Can you care for your battery? Protect it from temperature stress & dirt with a cover

“It's about time for a battery replacement.” I was told this the other day at the gas station. It's not a cheap purchase, so I want to use it carefully and for a long time. “Battery Protector-kun” might be on my side.

The battery is placed in harsh environments

When it comes to batteries, what concerns us are the usage years and voltage levels. However, in reality, they are also subjected to temperature changes, being exposed to high temperatures under the hood or cooling down in winter. "Batte Mamoru-kun" is a cover that alleviates these temperature changes by surrounding the battery.

It has a structure that suppresses temperature rise with insulation effects during high temperatures and mitigates cooling during low temperatures. It does not directly cool or heat the battery but makes it less susceptible to sudden temperature changes. You could think of it like putting on an extra layer of clothing.

You can easily cover it during battery replacement

Installation is quite simple. When replacing the battery, you just need to cover the battery with the compatible-sized "Battery Protector-kun." No complicated wiring or power supply is needed. You don't open the hood and attach the cover every time; you install it together at the time of replacement and use it continuously as is.

Once it's attached, you probably won't even notice it most of the time. It’s not a car accessory that you operate every time; it's the type that does its job in invisible places.

Compatible with nearly 80% of batteries

The lineup consists of a total of 6 sizes. The model numbers available are "BC-M42," "BC-K42," "BC-B24," "BC-LN0," "BC-LN1," and "BC-LN2." This size configuration is compatible with about 75% of the top 70 car models by new vehicle registration numbers. In addition to the M42, K42, and B24 series commonly used in domestic vehicles, sizes LN0 to LN2 are also available, making it easy to choose from a wide range of models.

However, even for the same model, the battery equipped may differ based on the year and grade. Don't decide based only on appearance; remember to check the model of the battery currently installed before making a selection.

Keep it handy when you replace the battery

Replacing the battery is a task that, if possible, you'd rather avoid. If it's just been replaced, you want to use it in the best condition for as long as possible. In that case, include the cover when you replace it with a new one. "Battery Protector-kun" seems to maintain that kind of distance well.

It's not a flashy part that you feel the effect of every day. But during both the peak of summer and deep winter, it adds one more thing you can do for the battery staying under the hood. This is a part you want to remember when you replace the battery next time.

I also need to replace it soon, or I'll end up having to call the gas station attendant to come to my house again (already experienced once).
