【Fishing Meal】I tried recreating Ishii's Chicken Hamburger Bento, which reminds me of school trips from my childhood.

If I could enjoy a homemade lunch while fishing, wouldn't it make for a more satisfying day? So, I bought my nostalgic taste, Ishii's Chicken Hamburger, and attempted to make my own bento. It became a nostalgic time, reminiscent of school trips during the usual fishing.

When going fishing, I often stop by a convenience store to shop, but I suddenly thought that since I have the chance, I would like to try eating a nostalgic homemade bento. It has been a long time since I had the author's memorable taste, "Ishii's Chicken Hamburg," so surely I will be able to relish in its nostalgia.

In addition, omelet, sausages, and stir-fried bell peppers were standard in our home bento. I woke up early and hurriedly tried to recreate it.

It turns out that Ishii's Chicken Hamburg can actually be cooked in the microwave, but I will heat it up using the hot water bath method, just like before. At the same time, I can prepare other dishes, so I will work quickly to finish.

It was surprisingly easy to make, and I was able to finish it in about 10 minutes. Looking at the hamburgers cut into strips and the colorful side dishes, I am reminded of school trips from my childhood. With everything ready, I decided to hurry to the fishing spot.

Since the car gets hot, I decided to put the bento in a cooler. Usually, I stop by a convenience store to buy a light lunch, but on this day, I could go straight to the fishing spot, saving time, which was great.

On a nice day, walking in beautiful streams, fishing is enjoyable again today. Once I start fishing, I can only think about the fish, so the distance I walk in search of a catch keeps increasing. However, on this day, even though I fished upstream, my rod never bent. Reluctantly, I decided to return to the car with a sigh.

Enjoying nostalgic flavors in nature reminds me of the feeling of a school trip.

Perhaps due to exhaustion, I was really hungry. I initially planned to eat by the river, but since many bugs gathered around, I decided to sit on the trunk of the car to eat.

The taste of Ishii's chicken hamburger, which I hadn't had in a while, was exactly the same as when I was a child. With its sweet and tangy sauce and tender meat, it brings back memories of fun times during boy's baseball, school trips, and family vacations. The quality is still satisfying as an adult, and it’s no wonder it's a long seller. Thanks to this bento, I was able to enjoy the time feeling grateful to have come to the river, even if I didn't catch anything.

What I realized after trying to make it myself is that simple cooking results in high satisfaction. At the supermarket I shopped at, it was priced at 135 yen each (675 yen for a set of 5). I believe this was the reason for mothers making bento to choose Ishii's chicken hamburger. Although it was a portable bento idea I tried on a whim, it brought back old memories and made me feel nostalgic. I thought I would like to pack those nostalgic flavors into my bento box for the next time I head to the fishing spot.
