It might be better than the noise canceling of AirPods Pro!? The effects of Loop "Quiet 2" on concentration

When a couple is doing remote work together, the voice of the partner and other living sounds can be distracting. So I got the Loop "Quiet 2" that I had been curious about. It creates a quiet space while keeping the necessary sounds.

The perfect sound insulation that is just right for work, Quiet 2

Recently, my partner for working from home has been "Quiet 2." This earplug is made by the Belgian earplug specialist brand Loop Earplugs, and I recommended it to a friend who said, "It creates a perfectly quiet space."
Product name: Quiet 2
Price: 3050 yen
Color: Violet, White, Black, Mint
Size: XS, S, M, L

It has a loop-shaped hook, giving it a design different from traditional earplugs. Among many earplugs, I chose "Quiet 2," which moderately blocks sound (24 dB (SNR) noise reduction).

It comes with four ear tips, making it adjustable to fit the size of your ears.
Some might say, "Isn’t it good enough to get earplugs from Daiso?" So, I bought the "earplugs with case."

Although it doesn’t specify clear noise reduction performance, it is said to cut bothersome high-frequency sounds. And with the case included for just 110 yen, Daiso is really doing well.

I compared it to Quiet 2! Daiso & AirPods Pro

First, let’s check Daiso’s earplugs. They are the traditional type made of elastic foam polymer, so it took a little effort to put them on, but I managed to get them on. I felt some pressure on my ears, but it seemed like the sound was far away. This was my first time using this type of earplug, but it might be sufficient for temporary use.
Next, the AirPods Pro. The noise-canceling feature shuts out all sounds, including notification sounds, and creates a world of silence. It's good when I can focus without worrying about anything, but during work, I surprisingly need other forms of communication, and entering a silent world can be unsettling. I’ve been startled several times, not realizing until someone tapped my shoulder...
Finally, I tried on the Quiet 2. After lightly pushing it into my ear, I held the loop part in my hand and just twisted it back. Once you get used to it, you can put it on one ear in a few seconds. The insertion part is made of soft-touch silicone material, so it fits gently in the ear! Even after wearing it for a long time, my ears don’t hurt.
When I put them on both ears, the surrounding sounds faded away. Just at that moment, an ambulance siren was ringing, but that too was diminished.
The amazing thing about Quiet 2 is that it does not completely block all sounds. While it reduces the noise that bothers you, you can still hear sounds you don’t want to miss, like phone rings, making it perfect for daily desk work. You can also carry on conversations normally, so you can respond to sudden calls.

I also like that the visual design is similar to wireless earphones, which makes it look like I’m not wearing earplugs in the office. Since I started using Quiet 2, the time I can concentrate has increased, and as a result, my efficiency in remote work has improved. This time I introduced how to utilize it in remote work, but it also shines during sleep and airplane travel.

Now I have come to rely on it to the extent that I feel uneasy without it.
