Recommended Autumn Leisure Spot: Kawasemi Riverbed in Yoryo Town, Saitama Prefecture - Camping & Fishing at Enraku Lake
Finally, the genuine autumn outdoor season is upon us. As a recommended spot, I've explored Yoryo Town in Saitama Prefecture. Facilities that are easy to use and quiet spots to enjoy fishing. How about enjoying nature in Yoryo Town this autumn?
Town-run campsite "Kawasemi-gawara" under 1000 yen per night
Kawasemi-gawara is a town-run campsite located along the Arakawa River, very close to National Route 254. The surrounding area is serviced by the Chichibu Railway and the Tobu Tojo Line, and it's easily accessible from Hanazono IC.
The fees are 1000 yen per night for cars, 600 yen per night for motorcycles, and just 200 yen per night for walking guests.

It was a weekday when I visited, but nearly ten cars were present, each keeping a sufficient distance and enjoying their own time.
The site is spacious enough to accommodate a significant number of campers, and the noise from cars is not bothersome. A cool breeze that hints at autumn flows through the riverside, making it an incredibly pleasant spot.

The Arakawa River flowing right in front is wide, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Some people brought SUP boards, suggesting that activities like kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding are enjoyed here as well.
It's easy to set up large tents, and there are plenty of disposal and toilet facilities
The campsite has trash disposal areas at regular intervals, creating an environment where it's easy to clean up after a campfire. With minimal unevenness in the ground, it seems that even large tents can be easily set up, making it a comfortable place for families and groups of campers.
For touring and backpacking campers, the complete trash disposal facilities are appreciated. Let's follow the rules and properly separate the waste before disposing of it.
Across the road, there are toilets and water facilities, so all the necessary amenities for camping are available. This was my first visit, but thanks to the attentive management by the local government, it was an appealing campsite that can satisfy families, beginners, and veteran campers alike. Next time, I would like to come prepared to stay overnight.
In autumn, the catch-and-release fishing for wakasagi at Lake Enryouda will begin.
Next, the author visited Lake Tsuburata (円良田湖) in Yoshimi Town. It is famous as a mecca for carp fishing, and there were many carp anglers on the piers along the shore.
This tranquil lake is also known as a cherry blossom viewing spot, but the coming season is likely to offer beautiful autumn foliage as well.

A quiet place where you can only hear the voices of fishermen and the sound of fish jumping in the water. During the cooler autumn-like period, it seems particularly pleasant to enjoy fishing.
From November 1st, bluegill fishing will be open, and fishing from the piers and boats will be possible.

There were also inns and dining establishments along the lakeside road, although it was unclear if they were open for business. Seeing the buildings that evoke a sense of history brings to mind an image of bustling times, giving a nostalgic feeling.
Cute chestnuts were falling by the roadside, reminding me of the arrival of autumn. Most of the fallen ones are empty inside, likely serving as food for the animals living nearby.
I discovered that Yoshimi Town, which I visited this time, has many attractive spots where nature and humans coexist. Please consider visiting based on this article.
