【Creek Fishing】I printed the fishing license purchased via the fishing ticket app and tried laminating it at Daiso
For creek fishing, it's necessary to buy a local fishing license (daily or annual), but since the online "fishing ticket" that can be purchased from smartphone apps or PCs seemed convenient, I bought the annual license. I processed it with Daiso's hand-laminating film for easier portability.
Fishing in streams requires a fishing license! Online purchase "Turi Ticket" is printable!?
Stream fishing is mostly conducted in rivers managed by fishing cooperatives. At that time, what is needed is a fishing license. The fishing license comes in two forms: a daily license and an annual license that can be used throughout the season, which are typically purchased at designated facilities and convenience stores.
The fishing license must be presented when a patrolling supervisor comes by, so if you fish without one, you will have to buy a "site sold" fishing license at a higher price than the advance purchase.

Traditionally, I used to go to the fishing area to purchase it, but I want to buy it in advance to match the early morning fishing before the business hours. Therefore, I decided to use "Turi Ticket," which allows online purchase of the fishing license.
The rules for the fishing license from Turi Ticket include two patterns for presentation: one that can be shown via an app or screenshot, and another that must be printed. The rules vary by fishing cooperative, and the fishing license from the cooperative I purchased required printing.

By uploading the required information and a photo, and making the payment online, the screen for the fishing license mentioned above will be displayed. Since I need to print it from here, I will print it at a nearby convenience store.<
Wrestling with print sizes during my first convenience store print
There are two ways to input print data into a convenience store multifunction printer. One method is to upload it to the internet, and the other is to put it on a flash memory and take it to the convenience store. Since I thought that adjusting the print size might be tricky with network printing, I decided to bring along a flash memory carefully while uploading. As expected, it seems I did something wrong with the method, and for some reason, I couldn't do the network print, so in the end, I used the flash memory. Personally, I think the flash memory is more reliable for printing.
This time I used a printer at FamilyMart, which has a function called "Print Together" that allows for split printing. With this, I could resize it to about the size of a credit card and have a spare ready.
What I thought about was how small I could make the size of the fishing license to make it easier to carry.
After some hesitation, I confirmed with the local fishing cooperative just in case, and they said, "As long as you can verify your identity, the size can be small," so I executed it with the aforementioned Print Together function. For some reason, in the initial settings, the edges get cut off, so it’s necessary to change the setting to print with the maximum width.
I made sure to check the completed image carefully in front of the multifunction printer and pressed the print execution button.

Using "Self-adhesive Laminating Film" from Daiso makes it easy to carry
After printing, it turned out to be just the right size for carrying (about 70×50mm). It seems that the text and facial photo can be recognized clearly. To make it easy to take to the fishing spot, I will cut it out and laminate it as well.
I am using Daiso's "Self-adhesive Laminating Film" (110 yen). As long as I can laminate regular paper to make it portable, I won’t worry about the finer details. The inexpensive self-adhesive laminating film fits perfectly with the author’s needs. There are also 5 sheets in A4 size, so there was enough left over from this processing alone.
To laminate, simply peel off the thin film on the surface and stick the back side onto the adhesive side of the "thick film" that appears, then reapply the thin film while removing air. In this case, since it only needs to be shown to the staff, there's almost no chance of failure, but it's wise to have plenty of backups.
Laminating is easily complete! I immediately went fishing.
Once stuck together, just cut it out to finish. It was easy to complete in just a few minutes. The printing step feels like the biggest challenge in the process.
When I put it in the pouch I always carry, it looks like this. It can be carried without being a burden, so I feel secure knowing I can present it whenever I'm approached. Even if methods like showing it via an app or screenshot are allowed, there's a possibility of running out of battery or not having signal to present it, so having a paper-based version provides reassuring certainty.
Thanks to getting an annual pass, I've eliminated the hassle of stopping by the store and shortened the time to arrive at the field. Even if I don't catch anything, there's a relaxed feeling of "It's an annual pass, so it’s okay." The hassle of printing and laminating with a daily fishing ticket feels wasteful, so how about purchasing an annual ticket with fishing tickets for use throughout the year?
