I want to reduce my luggage, but I also want to enjoy outdoor and leisure activities comfortably. The "Origami Picnic Bag" created by the Indonesian upcycle brand "Popsiklus" fulfills such desires. As the name suggests, this bag transforms into a leisure sheet based on the concept of "origami".

The biggest feature of the "Origami Picnic Bag" is its 2WAY structure, which allows it to be used as a leisure sheet simply by spreading it open. When opened, it becomes a large sheet, but when you fasten the color-coded snap buttons and buckles together in the same color... voila! It can be assembled into the shape of a bag.

Even beginners can assemble it without getting lost, and switching to the seat is just a matter of unfolding and flipping it over. You can quickly set it up at your destination and relax right away. Once you're done using it, simply button it back up and return it to the bag, making it easy to pack up and move.

The materials used are fabrics that have been upcycled from scrap and surplus materials that were scheduled for disposal at a factory in Indonesia. In particular, the pockets are made entirely from upcycled materials, and each one has a unique color, texture, and pattern. These were crafted by artisans from Cimeuhyi (West Java). Creating new value from waste materials also contributes to supporting employment in Indonesia.

Because it uses water-resistant materials, it can be used without any problem on grass or slightly wet ground. If it gets dirty, simply wipe it with a damp cloth or gently hand wash it with water and neutral detergent to clean it. It also has more storage capacity than it looks, able to hold plenty of leisure items.

The sizes available are S and L. The S size (for 1-2 people, with a load capacity of about 5kg) is great for relaxing alone, on dates, or for picnics in the park. The L size (for 3-4 people, with a load capacity of about 7kg) is balanced for two adults and one child to comfortably spend time together, making it suitable for family outings or groups. Adding a separately sold sling strap allows for carrying in a shoulder style.
