“Growing fire” is so much fun! Boiling water, cooking, and enjoying the flames with a pressurized alcohol stove

Unlike burners that ignite with a single switch, you preheat, grip the pump, and generate your own blue flame. Aotsuki Design's pressurized alcohol stove is camping gear that allows you to enjoy even that extra step. Let's check its capability for boiling water and cooking.

A different way to enjoy fire than a campfire

The Aotsuki Design pressurized alcohol stove does not just ignite by adding fuel. First, it preheats with a small amount of fuel, and then uses a pump to pressurize the tank inside. The heated alcohol fuel vaporizes and gradually turns into a blue flame.

Prepare, preheat, pressurize, and watch the flame──. It is fascinating that instead of skipping the steps, it transforms the entire process into the enjoyment of camping.

Ability to boil 500ml in about 2 minutes and 8 seconds.

It's not just a tool for watching flames, but great for outdoor cooking as well. Tests conducted by Aotsuki Design in a room temperature environment recorded about 2 minutes and 8 seconds for 500ml of water to boil. The results may vary depending on ambient temperature, wind, fuel, and the container used, but it has sufficient heat output to boil water for coffee or prepare camping meals.

The tank capacity is approximately 1200ml, with a recommended filling amount of about 1000ml. In addition to boiling water, it allows for various outdoor cooking methods such as stewing, grilling, and searing.

Enjoy the expression of copper, stainless steel, and natural wood

It's not just the flames that catch your eye. The main body combines copper, 304 stainless steel, and natural wood. Instead of keeping it shiny and new, the interesting aspect of this stove is enjoying the changes in color created by the heat. Each time you take it camping, its character changes, fostering a growing affection for the tool.

Enjoying the hassle of a night out is the essence of camping

In stark contrast to the convenience of a button-activated flame, it requires preheating, gripping the pump to apply pressure, and watching the blue flame rise. The reason for choosing this stove seems to lie in that very experience.

While waiting for the water to boil, one can enjoy grinding coffee beans or delight in the changes of the flames while cooking. Time that does not solely seek efficiency is something that can only be experienced during camping. I want to handle fire in a way that's different from a campfire. This is the perfect unit for such campers.
