Bold new design and evolved technology embrace hydrogen mobility

The new "NEXO," made possible by advanced fuel cell technology, achieves zero tailpipe emissions. With a target driving range of over 700km on a 5-minute charge, safety was emphasized during development. This new model suggests a diverse vehicle electrification strategy that includes not only battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and hybrids but also hydrogen electric options. It can be considered that a wide range of choices has been presented.

The newly designed NEXO, based on the INITIUM concept announced in October 2024, reflects the inherent strength of materials and natural sculptural quality, embodying Hyundai Motor’s design language of "Art of Steel." In its design, the durability and versatility of steel bring tension and strength, while artistic shapes have been achieved. The robust and refined design adds power through an arched cross-section, featuring bold lines akin to a rugged rectangular shape and a solid structure. The horizontal groove pattern applied to the doors highlights the vehicle's durability, making it suitable for both urban and outdoor lifestyles.

The exterior features a design with "HTWO" lamps, showcasing four dot lamps that create a substantial impact even at night. The color range includes six colors: Creamy White Pearl, Phantom Black Pearl, Amazon Gray Metallic, Ocean Indigo Matte, Ecotronic Gray Pearl, and Goyo Copper Pearl. The last color is said to be inspired by Korea's nature and culture. Named after "Goyo," which means "serenity" in Korean, this color merges Korea’s traditional beauty with a modern aesthetic through its rich, deep hues. The three-layer coated paint changes the body color depending on the light angle and environment.

The interior is designed to be spacious, featuring soft, luxurious padding that makes it feel like being in a home. Main features include a driver-centered curved display, intuitive controls, and an island-type center console with excellent storage space. The digital side mirror display is seamlessly integrated into the dashboard, maximizing openness and practicality. It creates a high-tech furnished space.

In the new NEXO, the interior space has been made longer, wider, and taller, with increased rear cargo capacity. A maximum of 993L of space has been secured, allowing for the storage of up to four golf bags. The newly introduced platform in the luggage area enables users to freely select accessories according to their needs.

The interior is also equipped with premium relaxation seats in the first row (with leg rests). The backrests of the first-row seats have been slimmed down, and the knee clearance and legroom in the second-row seats have been improved. Comfort in the second-row seats is further enhanced by ventilated seats, and the reclining angle is larger than in the previous NEXO. Headroom and shoulder room in the second row have also been renewed, and the rear doors open wider than the previous model, making entry and exit easier for families.

Smart storage solutions are now available throughout the cabin, including the center console, dashboard area, and door trims, making it more convenient. The ambient mood light linked to the road speed limit alert also enhances the premium feel. The use of sustainable materials throughout the vehicle is another highlight.
