“Jimny” and “Jimny Sierra” specification changes improve safety features! Equipped with standard ACC on the Nomad

Suzuki's “Jimny” and “Jimny Sierra” have undergone partial specification changes and will be released on November 4. Safety features and comfort equipment have been enhanced, and functions that are standard on the “Jimny Nomad” have finally arrived.

This autumn, what has changed in the "Jimny" and "Jimny Sierra"? First, regarding safety features, the collision damage mitigation brake has been upgraded from Dual Sensor Brake Support (DCBS) to the latest version II (DSBS II).
As a result, the objects detected now include not only cars, trucks, and pedestrians, but also bicycles and motorcycles. Additionally, the operating speed has also increased, making it effective even at high speeds.

The newly added safety features include lane departure prevention, adaptive cruise control (ACC) (with full-speed tracking function only for 4AT vehicles), and rear mislaunch prevention (only for 4AT vehicles). All of these are standard equipment in the "Nomad," serving as useful features in all scenarios from city driving to highway driving and parking.

As a comfort feature, it is compatible with Suzuki Connect.

In addition to safety features, it is now compatible with Suzuki Connect. It is a subscription service, and the contents vary depending on the model and plan, but it is full of convenient functions like parking location confirmation, driving history, and security notifications.
Regarding the price that raises concerns, the "Jimny" increases by about 260,000 yen at most, while the "Sierra" increases by about 300,000 yen at most. This area likely reflects the addition of safety features and comfort equipment, as well as the rising costs of raw materials. It seems that new options are expanding.
