GAZOO Racing (hereinafter referred to as GR) has launched the entry-level racing kart "GR KART" at karting tracks and GR Garages across the country.

The GR KART is an entry-level racing kart developed to broaden the entry point for children and families to experience motorsports. By making the vehicle price, transportation, storage, and maintenance easier than previous racing karts, it aims to enable more people to take on the challenge of motorsports.

As a "kart made by car makers," GR KART is crafted carefully one by one, incorporating knowledge and ingenuity cultivated through car manufacturing. Additionally, the "Gamagori GR KART Workshop," responsible for production, is a small-scale manufacturing site. Based on the principles of TPS (Toyota Production System), it not only works on quality assurance and continuous improvement of processes but also attempts to incorporate new technologies. Through these activities, it aims to reduce costs so that beginners can easily start and enjoy motorsports for a long time.

To make it easier to continue racing after purchase, mechanisms that reduce maintenance and adjustment efforts, as well as components considering safety and durability, are adopted.

A driving position adjustment mechanism that can be shared by both children and adults.

Aiming for family sharing, it features a pedal slide and steering tilt that can be operated with one touch. This allows position adjustments for children and adults ranging from 135cm to 185cm in height.

It can be transported by a minivan and stored upright.

Prioritizing ease of transportation, it is sized to fit into a Noah or Voxy without disassembly. This makes it possible to take the kart to the circuit with a regular car without needing a large dedicated transporter.

Attention has also been given to storage, with a vertical-compatible engine oil catch tank, a diaphragm-type carburetor without a float chamber, and a fuel inlet oriented to minimize fuel leakage even when stored upright, allowing the kart to be stood up while still filled with gasoline or engine oil.

Designed to minimize maintenance and preparation effort, allowing you to focus on driving.

One of the features is the incorporation of ideas that make maintenance easier in various places. The drive system adopts a belt drive that eliminates dirt from chain oil and does not require tension adjustment due to the automatic tensioner. It is designed to allow focus on racing with minimal maintenance.

In addition, the engine has a built-in self-recharging battery, eliminating the need for a separate battery or the hassle of charging. The newly developed diaphragm carburetor for four-stroke engines has a structure without a float chamber, making it less susceptible to the effects of fuel level changes due to lateral G forces. By equipping a primary pump that draws fuel into the carburetor before starting, sending fuel before running can also be done easily.

Consideration has been given to durability so that it can be used for a long time. The rear shaft uses stainless material that is less prone to rust, and the piping inside the fuel tank uses metal to suppress deterioration from gasoline. To ensure that beginners can handle it with confidence, the bumper shape suppresses other vehicles from riding over the rear tires of one's own vehicle upon contact, and the structure considers the method of fixing the throttle wire to prevent troubles like the throttle being stuck open.

When the separately sold decals are applied, it can have a design like the one in the image above. Together with the vehicle, they will be sold at some domestic kart tracks and some GR Garages.

The dedicated app allows users to view various information about GR KART and utilize theoretical content to learn the knowledge necessary for driving. Additionally, users can register and manage their driver passports. The obtained driver passport can be used as proof of qualification for sports driving at corresponding kart tracks. This allows GR KART purchasers to enjoy driving at corresponding tracks without obtaining a separate kart track license (if participating in GR KART races at SL kart meetings, a separately specified license is required).
