When sitting in the back, I want to operate the air conditioning from the back

The dedicated "Rear Auto Air Conditioner Controller" for the Caravan allows control of the rear cooler and rear heater from the back seat. By turning on the rear air conditioning switch, it is possible to operate the power ON/OFF of the rear air conditioning while sitting in the back seat.

In the case of the Caravan, there are likely many situations where people spend a long time in the back, such as using a bed kit or setting it up for camping. After finishing the preparations for sleeping, if I feel "a bit hot," I would have to go to the front to adjust the air conditioning. If this could all be done from the back, it would change things significantly. The ability for the person in the back to operate it themselves is probably more important than being able to control it from the driver's seat. This may be more crucial in the Caravan.

Two temperature sensors actively monitor the back

In AUTO mode, the temperature can be set from 17.5℃ to 32.5℃ in 0.5℃ increments. A key point here is that temperature sensors are installed in two locations: the ceiling and the C-pillar. Rather than just monitoring one location in the spacious interior, the temperatures are checked at a height close to the heads of those sitting in the back. While it may feel just right from the driver's seat, it can feel hot or cold in the back. Considering the temperature differences in a spacious vehicle like the Caravan is certainly worth keeping in mind.

Once you've set the desired temperature, just leave it to AUTO. It's incredibly convenient for someone lazy like me not to have to touch the airflow numerous times, especially when I'm relaxing in the back.

When it's hot or cold, don't hesitate to use MAX.

If you want to adjust the airflow yourself, switch to MANUAL mode. The heater and cooler can be adjusted in three stages: LO, MID, HI, and there are also buttons for "MAX HEAT" and "MAX COOL." When you return to the car in the middle of summer and just want to cool down, or in winter when you first want to heat up, it's said that being able to set it to maximum airflow with one touch is much faster than making fine adjustments.

Typically, it's AUTO; when you want to cool or heat up quickly, use MAX; and if you want to adjust it yourself, go for MANUAL. The operation design allows the user to avoid having to think too much.

You don't have to move from where you're sleeping.

If you're using it for car camping, you can't overlook the included dedicated remote control. You can operate the air conditioner from the remote without reaching for the main unit. While it may not be flashy equipment, if you're using the back of the caravan as a "living space" rather than just a "place to store luggage," this difference seems quite significant.

The operation panel features a dedicated design that matches the interior of the Caravan. It is not only operable from the rear seats, but also finished to ensure that the added parts do not stand out awkwardly, achieving a natural matching. Not just for the bed and storage, even the air conditioning controls are moved to the back.
