【Daiso】I was able to take this much with the "Smartphone Lens Set" while photographing my dog with an iPhone

Taking photos of beloved pets is always fun, no matter how many you take. However, before you know it, the same kinds of photos tend to accumulate. That's when I thought, "Maybe I can take photos that are a bit different from usual," and I got my hands on the Daiso "Smartphone Lens Set."

It was sold in the smartphone section for the lowest price of 110 yen. I thought it might cost around 550 yen, so the 110 yen price tag was a surprise. It seems many stores are out of stock, so I recommend checking the inventory using the Daiso app before purchasing.

Despite the affordable price of 110 yen, it includes three lenses: a fisheye lens, a macro lens, and a wide-angle lens. Additionally, it comes with a protective lens and a storage bag, making it convenient to carry in a bag. Even when held and viewed up close, it surprisingly doesn't look cheap.

Utilizing the clip, I attached it to the lens of my beloved iPhone 14! By the way, it can also be used with the inner camera. The clip's grip is surprisingly strong, and it doesn't shift with just a touch of hand.

When I look at my beloved dogs

first, let's try the wide-angle lens. Since I live with my two energetic dogs, the shooting scenes are always a struggle. I don't want to miss the miraculous moment when both are sitting together, but in my hurry, one of them often ends up out of the frame.

Here is a photo taken with the wide-angle lens! It was taken from the same angle, but both dogs fit into the frame effortlessly. You can also see that the background appears wider. This time I tried shooting indoors, but it seems suitable for outdoor photography.

Next, I tried the fisheye lens that I was looking forward to. This is a photo taken with the fisheye lens, and everything is distorted, resulting in a rather cute shot.

It has an artistic atmosphere, more so than when shooting with a normal camera or seeing it with the naked eye. It's interesting to have a different kind of photo. However, focusing can be a bit challenging. Since I only had about half of the shots fail, it shouldn't be a problem if I take a few more shots.

Using a macro lens, you can capture shots that are difficult to take with the iPhone's standard lens! If you get too close to your subject with the iPhone’s standard camera, it tends to get blurred, but by attaching a macro lens, I was able to photograph my dog's adorable paw pads up close. The wrinkles and texture of the paw pads were depicted so realistically that it was truly moving.

Compared to expensive smartphone lenses, there were indeed times when the images turned out blurry. However, I was very satisfied to be able to take photos of my dog that were a bit different from usual! It seems like a necessity for when I want to create many memories with my dog, such as during trips or camping.
