【Putter】 About 90% of the head weight distributed to the sides! Designed with consideration for off-center hits with zero torque
What's frustrating about putting is that even if you swing smoothly, the ball can roll in an unexpected direction. Just focusing on the face angle is not enough; when you hit off-center, the head tends to twist as well. AGG's "ZET MAX WING" aims to reduce such troubles in putting from the equipment side. In addition to the zero torque design, about 90% of the head weight is distributed to the sides. It might just help with that one hit that you miss the center on.
What kind of work does zero torque do?
Pull the putter straight back and release it straight. It sounds simple in words, but in reality, it's not that easy. If the head tries to rotate during the stroke, the face might close or open upon impact. That slight misalignment can lead to a shot that passes by the side of the cup. The ZET MAX WING features a zero torque design that positions the shaft at the weight center of the head. This suppresses unnecessary rotation during the stroke, making it easier to stabilize the direction of the face.
The top of the head is also equipped with a guide to align with the target. Instead of making various adjustments with your hands, you can swing through in the stance you've set. If you have one less thing to think about while putting, it seems like you could concentrate more on feeling the distance.
About 90% of the head weight of 408g is distributed to the sides
This putter is not just about zero torque. The head width is 105mm, the depth is 90mm, and the weight is 408g. The center part is made lighter, distributing about 90% of the head weight to the sides. It features a MAX WING structure that combines 90mm carbon composite wings that extend sideways with metal weights. The aim is to suppress the twist of the head when the center is missed.
If you can always hit the center of the face, there's no struggle. Sometimes it hits slightly towards the tip or shifts towards the hands. This is taken into consideration, and the weight is concentrated at both ends. The manufacturer creates the complex shape of the carbon composite material using precise 3D printing. By lightening the middle, the weight is shifted to both ends. The visible wings indeed have an important role to play.
70g is firm, 80g is flexible
You can choose from two types of shafts. The "Hybrid," which combines carbon and steel, is about 70g. It is designed for those who seek a solid feel. On the other hand, the "Full Carbon," which is about 80g, aims for a soft feel and smooth swinging experience. It's interesting that the Full Carbon is slightly heavier while promoting a soft feel.
It’s not true that lighter means softer, or that all carbon shafts are the same. You can choose the one that feels comfortable to you, considering both the sensation when swinging and the feedback when hitting the ball. A putter is not a club for competing in distance. It’s about setting up the same way each time and being able to swing as practiced. Choosing the right shaft is actually an important point for that.
3D-printed winged mallet
The head colors are available in black and red. Length options include 32, 33, 34, and 35 inches. You can also choose between a standard 2.0 grip and a thicker 3.0 grip. Additionally, it supports engravings of up to 12 alphabet characters. A left-handed version is also available upon request. The head features a pickup function that makes it easy to pick up the ball without bending down. It's a small detail, but in rounds where you pick up the ball from the cup multiple times, such innovations are greatly appreciated.
Zero torque to stabilize face orientation, a weight distribution that maintains balance when off-center, and two types of shafts that provide different feel. If it's difficult to strike the same spot consistently while putting, let the tools assist you a little. The ZET MAX WING is that trusty option.
