[Driving with your dog] Transition from carrying ↔ to car seat! Pet backpack made with child seat materials

When putting your dog in the car, be careful of jolting and sudden braking. The TAVO pet backpack "Kamella" is highly recommended for family-oriented dads. It can be carried on your back and securely fixed to the seat with ISOFIX in the car, making it a standout item.

You can carry it, and it is securely fixed in the car

If you’re heading out for a drive with your family, you’ll want to take your beloved dog along too. However, you might worry that the carrier placed in the back seat could move during turns or that sudden braking could put stress on your dog.

That’s when I noticed "Kamella" from the pet gear brand "TAVO." It can be used as a backpack that you carry around in town, and then quickly transforms into a car seat when you get in the car. It has a structure that allows you to secure it to the car seat by connecting the ISOFIX fixing latch built into the bottom to the vehicle’s ISOFIX.

Compliant with R129, passes crash tests

Since this is an item for transporting your dog, safety is a key concern. "Kamella" complies with the latest child seat safety standard "R129." Additionally, it has passed front and side collision tests that adhere to child seat regulations.

On the sides, it features SIP (Side Impact Protection) guards made of shock-absorbing material "Tailor tech™ memory foam." The safety principles developed for baby products have been incorporated into pet travel as well. Just like with human children, I want to focus on the safety of my dog during travel. This is a reassuring design that aligns with the thoughts of such pet owners.

Comfortable not just for the dog, but also for the person carrying it

One of the appeals of "Kamella" is that you can carry it on your back after getting out of the car. It features a cushioned shoulder strap, as well as a chest strap and a removable waist belt. The design distributes the weight, reducing the burden on your shoulders.

Consideration has also been given to the space where your beloved dog will spend time. Mesh windows are placed around, ensuring ventilation and visibility. When the cover is closed, you can block the view from the surroundings. Furthermore, the fabric has a UPF 50+. It comes with two mattresses: a durable one and a comfort mattress processed with antibacterial treatment, both of which can be washed in a washing machine. Even if it gets dirty while you're out, easy maintenance is a great help for everyday use.

A "designated seat" for your beloved dog

Your dog is an important member of the family. Whether camping, traveling, or going for a weekend drive, you'd want to take them along if possible. For that reason, it's essential not only to focus on what to do at the destination but also on how to safely get there.

"Kamella" combines a backpack and a car seat into one item, seamlessly connecting walking and car travel. Priced at 42,350 yen, it's a product worth considering for families who frequently go out with their dogs.
