A Real Man's Lunch Finished in 5 Minutes! Company Employee Dad's Tupperware Bento "Karaage Don Rice" Edition

No need for stylish bento. What I want is delicious food and overwhelming free time. Here, I reveal a real Tupperware bento from a company employee dad who finishes his meal in 5 minutes to win back the remaining 55 minutes.

Green vegetables are unnecessary!? The "Karaage Don" you can finish in 5 minutes

For salarymen, there is no more precious hour than the "lunch break" during the weekdays. To prepare for the afternoon work, one needs to replenish energy generously. At the same time, I want to secure as long a free time as possible that won't be disturbed by anyone, even if it's just for one more minute. The ultimate answer I (the author) have arrived at to perfectly satisfy these two great desires is the "Karaage Don," which eliminates green vegetables and is filled to the limits of the container with my favorite karaage.

Put white rice in the bento. I love white rice, so I make sure to add plenty.
Also, place some flavored seaweed and kelp with eggs as accents...
This bento lacks "color" and "balance." The moment I open the lid of the Tupperware, what comes into view is an overwhelming "brown." Just that is enough to send my excitement, as a big fan of fried chicken, to its peak.
Filling it with fried chicken is the finishing touch! I don't care about the layout or aesthetics. Now, I'm off to work.
Mounds of fried chicken piled high on top of the rice. There's no need for "garnishes" like lettuce or cherry tomatoes to fill in the gaps. The savory aromas of soy sauce and garlic spread rapidly, intensifying my appetite.

A luxurious moment of brown food enjoyment at my desk

Beautifully large pieces of fried chicken that seem like they'll spill out.
I grab the largest chunk with my chopsticks and take a big bite. Juicy meat juices burst forth. Before the delicious flavor spreads throughout my mouth dissipates, I quickly toss some white rice in. The happiness of having the strongly seasoned fried chicken, flavored nori, and slightly salted Kombu simultaneously blend together in my mouth is irreplaceable.
After eating about halfway, I seek further pleasure. In between, I decide to change the flavor and add the devilish seasoning I brought from home: mayonnaise! The richness and creaminess explode, and the speed at which I move my chopsticks accelerates even more.
Moreover, essential for the acceleration in the second half is "another flavor change." If I sprinkle the “furikake” I stealthily tucked in my lunch bag, it beautifully intertwines with the umami of the fried chicken, allowing the rice to be devoured nonstop until the last grain. I was able to gulp it all down in one go.

Realizing “55 minutes of freedom” by packing only my favorite things into a Tupperware.

“I’m so busy every day that I never have enough time for myself…” If you have such worries, try packing your favorite side dishes and white rice into a Tupperware boldly tomorrow morning. The moment you open the lid, the aroma of your favorite food spreads, filling you with bliss for 5 minutes, followed by the luxurious freedom of 55 minutes that awaits you after the meal.

Let’s throw away the conventional wisdom so far and start your ultimate Tupperware bento life together. I sincerely support the challenges of all companions fighting through the afternoon!
