【Cost Performance Wear】Alpen's PB brand TIGORA's "Trekking Long-Sleeve Shirt" has made autumn fishing outings comfortable

As September comes to a close, the season is turning chilly, evoking feelings of autumn. That said, there are still days when you can sweat if you move around, making temperature regulation quite challenging. Therefore, I thought the TIGORA "Trekking Long-Sleeve Shirt" would be just right for fishing and camping, so I purchased it and conducted a field test.

As autumn turns chilly. While searching for suitable gear for fishing and camping, I discovered Alpen's private brand "TIGORA" "Trekking Long Sleeve Shirt" (3999 yen). I thought a shell jacket might be good too, but there are still hot days, and it doesn't lend itself to temperature regulation when moving. So, I bought this lightweight polyester shirt that I can easily throw on, thinking it would be quite useful.

Among the color lineup of sepia, green, and dark gray, I chose army green. It is very lightweight yet wind-resistant, protecting my body temperature from the cold wind.

When worn in temperatures around 20°C, it provided just the right amount of warmth in low-activity situations. It might be perfect for that time after September when you’re unsure whether to wear short or long sleeves.

Perfect for fishing wear on chilly days

When I wore it at the fishing spot, I felt it blocking the chilled wind along the river and keeping my body temperature stable. I sweat enough when moving, so it seems like an environment around 10°C would be ideal for active scenes. With snap buttons allowing for quick opening at the front, plus ventilation at the back, it can expel moisture even if I get sweaty.

It's not stiff, so you can move comfortably without restricting your shoulder movement even when you swing the rod. Since it's made of lightweight and soft material, it doesn't become bulky even with a waist pouch attached, making it perfect for fishing or trekking while carrying gear.

As an aside, perhaps thanks to wearing comfortable clothing, I caught a cute char! My body temperature regulation went well, and my fishing performance improved, resulting in a very nice day while enjoying the air of the stream.

The light comfort was also useful for autumn camping.

It was a great help during camps where you want a sense of relaxation. Of course, you can sit in a chair and relax, but it also helps with tasks like gathering firewood, so there's no stress even if you continue to wear it.

When I woke up in the morning and got out of the sleeping bag, my body temperature had completely dropped. At such times, it was helpful to casually throw it on while preparing breakfast or tidying up the sleeping bag. Wearing a collared shirt somehow lifts my spirits.

Since it is 100% polyester, caution is needed around the campfire

I was able to stay comfortable throughout the day. However, there are weaknesses. Being made of polyester, it is weak against heat, so care must be taken to prevent holes from sparks when around the campfire. It’s better to avoid wearing it only during the campfire or to wear a heat-resistant jacket over it.

This item seems useful for the upcoming season with drastic temperature changes

Since it's a shirt type, it can be worn casually in the city without feeling out of place, making it convenient for both nature and urban settings. As the temperature drops, it seems it could also be used as an inner layer, so it looks like it will be effective for a longer period than expected. It's affordable, so I even thought about buying it in another color; it's become a favorite of mine. I’m looking forward to the upcoming camping season.
