From daily city rides to leisurely drives in the suburbs, this compact car enriches your mobility with a light-footedness that belies its size. The new Renault 5 is a model that reinterprets the design of the original "Renault 5," born in France in 1972, into a modern style. The body size is 3935mm in length, 1775mm in width, and 1535mm in height, making it a compact car that is easy to handle in Japan's road environment, seating 5 people.

Details that evoke the first generation, such as the headlights that create the front expression and the vertical rear combination lamps, are appealing. A charging indicator inspired by the number 5 is placed on the hood, adding a playful touch that captivates at first glance. Paired with 18-inch alloy wheels, it presents a look that stands out in urban streets.

The body incorporates EV technology that Renault has developed over more than 10 years. It features an EV-specific platform for its chassis and adopts a multi-link system for the rear suspension. This combination absorbs surface irregularities gracefully, achieving a light yet stable driving experience.

The power unit is equipped with a specially developed electric motor that delivers a maximum output of 150PS and torque of 245Nm. The strong and smooth acceleration in response to the accelerator input, along with agile handling that faithfully responds to the driver’s intentions, seems to bring out the joy of maneuvering the car as desired.

With a 52kWh battery, it boasts a range of 405km on a single charge, making it well-suited for long-distance drives.

The interior embodies the design legacy of past turbo models. The cockpit has a two-tier layout

Upon opening the door, you are greeted by an interior space where motifs inherited from past models harmonize with modern digital technology. Notable features include the three-dimensional two-tiered dashboard and seat design inspired by the legendary “Renault 5 Turbo.” It comfortably supports the body and elevates your mood with every ride.

In front of the driver’s seat is a 10-inch "digital instrument panel" that displays essential driving information clearly. The nostalgic design blends with an advanced digital cockpit, offering both visual enjoyment and ease of focus while driving.

Google-equipped in-car features! Route guidance considering the remaining charge.

At the center of the dashboard, a 10-inch multimedia system called "openR link" equipped with Google services is installed. You can handle the familiar digital environment inside the car just as you do in daily life, and with voice commands, you can intuitively control functions such as air conditioning and navigation.

Additionally, it supports automatic route guidance that considers battery remaining and charging spots along your route. Even when going on a long trip, the system assists with the timing and location for charging, making it easy to set off even for first-time electric vehicle users.
Reviving the charming design of the first generation along with advanced technology, the "Renault 5 E-Tech electric" balances practicality with a driving pleasure of 405 km on a single charge. With ease of maneuverability in urban areas and the uniqueness of French design, it is recommended for those who want to turn daily travel into an exciting experience.
