【Adventure Night】Drove through the "Night Safari" at Fuji Safari Park

Starting from dusk, we drove to the event called Night Safari at Fuji Safari Park. You can experience the sight and roars of animals illuminated by lights as you cruise through the nighttime safari zone in your own car.

The entrance to an extraordinary experience that begins with dusk

We arrived at Fuji Safari Park around 6:00 PM.

It was indicated that entry would begin at 6:30 PM, but the gates were already open and a line of cars had formed. Cars lined up in the twilight parking area, signaling the start of the extraordinary space that was about to begin.

As I received a park map from the staff and checked it, my excitement grew even more. Although I was there with my family, it was actually me who was the most excited at that moment.

The mood for a thrilling drive was rising inside the car.

Since I had purchased the tickets online in advance, I was able to receive my entrance pass smoothly at the entrance gate. It’s a relief not to be delayed by procedures.

Since it’s a special night safari, I played the movie soundtrack "Jurassic Park Main Theme" in the car. The darkness outside gradually increases.

The park is a theme park full of safari-like productions

When I once parked the car and walked around the park, there was a light mist, and it was enveloped in a unique atmosphere different from the daytime.

In the midst of that, I found a vending machine designed with a tiger pattern, which made me chuckle. When there is playfulness even in the details, just walking around lifts your spirits.

The "Night Bus Tour," where you ride a bus with wire mesh and tour the illuminated night safari zone, was unfortunately already fully booked. The animal-shaped bus seems to be popular with children.

On the "Night Guide Tour," you can ride in a zebra-patterned vehicle driven by staff and listen to detailed animal explanations while touring the safari zone, and it seems you can feed herbivores along the way. I couldn’t participate this time, but it is also appealing.

Finally, we set off for the "Night Safari"

We are finally heading towards the night safari in our car. As we pass through the gate, it's just the time when the sun sets and the park starts to get dark. Shadows of animals emerge in the headlights.

In the first BEAR ZONE, we spotted a large bear moving slowly, and I couldn't help but lean forward in excitement. The intensity was different from during the day, causing a stir inside the car.

Beyond that, rhinos and zebras appeared, with the scenery changing with each zone, never getting boring.

In the safari zone of Fuji Safari Park, a variety of large animals, both carnivorous and herbivorous, are kept, and at every moment, the expectation rises about what will appear next.

Inside the car, the children exclaimed, "I see it!" and that excitement made for a fun time. The experience of feeling the animals up close was refreshing, creating a wonderful time for the whole family.

In fact, I had previously visited Fuji Safari Park during the day, and the atmosphere of the animals I saw then was completely different. At the night safari, there are calm and quiet animals, as well as those that move around actively, creating a world that is different from the daytime.

The figures illuminated by the lights are impressive, and just watching from the car window makes the strong vitality of the animals striking. In the silence of the night, a large body illuminated by the lights passes right in front of me. Even from behind the window, there is a sense of tension as it comes close, creating an atmosphere that is different from a regular zoo.

By the way, there is a rule that allows for only one round in your own car, but I feel that this restriction actually made me concentrate and enjoy the experience more.

By the time we finished the approximately 50-minute tour of the safari zone, I felt as if I had completely experienced a night adventure. Being able to enjoy a world of extraordinary experiences while in my own car is something that is hard to do elsewhere.

It was a "night outing joy" experience not only for children but also for adults. This night safari, held during a limited period in the summer, offers a night drive different from the hot daytime hours. It turned out to be a more impressive time than I had imagined.
