【Day Camp】MUJI "Chilled Chazuke" makes summer camping meals super fun & luxurious
Day trip day camp (day camp) is trending for me. What I brought along was MUJI's "Chilled Chazuke." Amazingly, with just cold water and rice, this alone enriches the day camp experience.
Anyway, it's easy and time-efficient! Day camping during free time.

An unexpected opening in my afternoon schedule has come up. Given that I've been busy lately, I took this as a perfect opportunity, packed my things, and headed to the nearby riverbank. This time, I want to spend a relaxing time, so I’m equipped with gear that allows me to easily enjoy nature.

The recent trend of day camping is all about its simplicity and lightness. What I brought along are a table, chairs, a cooler, and the minimum essential gear to enjoy meals. I have been really into day camping for about a year now, and I take care to choose the gear I bring. It's not just about reducing the luggage; what's important is having the right gear to ensure a comfortable experience.

I want to start the day camp as soon as possible, so instead of my favorite Helinox chair, I brought the "Foldable Outdoor Chair" from Daiso. Just take it out of the storage bag and spread the legs apart. It takes less than 10 seconds to set up.

Of course, since it's a day camp, there was no need for a tent for overnight stays. The sunlight wasn't too strong that day, so I didn't bring a tarp either. It took just 5 minutes to set up in this state. In no time, the blissful moments began. A pleasant breeze was blowing, and I could hear the gentle sound of the river flowing nearby. It seemed like my mind had entered sleep mode, as about 15 minutes passed in the blink of an eye.

Since it's a great opportunity, let's go out for a walk nearby. We can see the fish swimming in the nearby river and watch the birds flying gracefully. Sitting in a chair, I wasn't able to see the new scenery, but I enjoyed it. I'm getting hungry, so I'll head back to my site.
I'm really into day camping right now, and I've chosen Muji's "Chilled Chazuke."

For cooking and eating, I wanted it to be "super easy," so I didn't bring a stove. What I brought for lunch was Muji's "Chilled Chazuke with Kimchi and Pickled Mustard Greens."

Just pour cold water over warm rice and let it sit for a minute. Without using fire, lunch was ready in no time. I brought rice that I cooked at home this morning in a cooler, so it was cold, but the chilled chazuke turned out perfectly without any issues.

It has a nice spicy kick and a pleasant punch that makes you want more. Since it's made with cold water, it's perfect for hot summer days. The fact that it can be made with just one Sierra cup is great, as it doesn't create more dishes to wash.
Another easy option from Seven-Eleven, "Akanishi Shell"

This time, I also got "Akanishi Shell" from Seven-Eleven. It's also a top-notch snack that you can eat easily just by opening it. When I camp during the day with friends, I sometimes make yakisoba and such, but it's enough for just one person.

Even the time it takes to get to a water source feels like a waste. I leave the cleanup to "dishwashing antibacterial wipes."

Just wiping them makes everything shine, so the cleanup is done in no time.
Day camping makes packing up a breeze.

After fully enjoying the day camp, the pack-up was completed in less than 5 minutes because there was not much gear. This ease is the biggest charm of day camping. Because both setup and takedown are so quick, you can effectively use a little time to enjoy nature. Why not give day camping a try casually?
