Just this makes for a wild dining table! The first installment of "Chikyu Gibier" features Ezo deer from Mukawa Town, Hokkaido
With the cooperation of hunter Tetsuyo Honkawa, who works in Mukawa Town, the gibier canned food "Chikyu Gibier" has been completed. What are the flavors of its first offerings, "Tender Ahi-jo with Deer Meat" and "Provence-style Tomato Stew with Deer Meat"?
"Regaining the power to live with nature" - Canned Ezo deer
The outdoor-focused platform "NOYAMA" has released the canned goods "Chikyuu Gibier," utilizing Ezo deer, in collaboration with hunter Tetsuyo Honkawa, who operates in Mukawa Town, Hokkaido.
Created under the concept of "Regaining the power to live with nature," this canned food aims to be user-friendly, with the objectives of being "edible even outdoors," "usable as emergency food," and "suitable for everyday dining."

While delicious as a game can to eat straight out of the can, it becomes a wild dish when used in outdoor recipe arrangements.
How about salt grilled noodles with "Tender Deer Meat Ajillo"?
Deer meat ajillo finished with olive oil and garlic. Just heating it brings out the tender umami of the deer meat, accompanied by the aroma of rosemary and spices. With its simple taste, it would also be delicious eaten on its own or paired with bread.
By adding yakisoba, it becomes a wild salt yakisoba. The canned mushrooms and garlic add flavor, making it look delicious. With just this, it seems to become the star of camp meals. The game meat canned food, which can be taken out at room temperature and is already seasoned, expands the variety of camp cooking with just one can.
"Provence-style stew of deer meat with tomatoes" is a risotto with
deer meat stewed with tomatoes, beans, and aromatic vegetables in the Provence style. The aroma of the aromatic vegetables, the acidity of the tomatoes, and the slight spiciness enhance the rich flavor of the tender deer meat. It is a classic taste that warms both the heart and body.
At the campsite, if you simmer it with packed rice, water, and cheese, it turns into a cheesy tomato risotto with chunks of deer meat. With this canned food, even classic camp meals can instantly become wild! It seems very convenient for everyday dining and emergency food as well.
Deer meat is high in protein, high in iron, and low in fat, providing vitality to life.
In fact, venison boasts three key benefits: high protein, high iron, and low fat. The sensation of feeling re-energized from within after eating game… There is actually a solid reason for this. By absorbing the energy of animals that have run through wild mountains, both body and mind become invigorated, leading to a boost in daily vitality.
In reality, venison has such characteristics compared to regular beef.
High protein / About 1.4 times more than beef (23.9g of venison vs. 17.1g of beef per 100g)
Rich in iron / About 2 times more than beef (3.9mg of venison vs. 2.0mg of beef per 100g)
Low fat / About one-sixth of beef (4.0g of venison vs. 25.8g of beef per 100g)

Hunter Tetsuyo Honkawa advocates for “hunting to eat deliciously”
The venison is provided by Tetsuyo Honkawa, a representative of "Mukawa no Gibier" in Mukawa Town, Hokkaido, which conducts hunting and the processing and sales of venison.
Honkawa-san does not just capture deer as a hunter, but has established her own venison processing facility, creating a system that consistently handles everything from butchering to processing. She conducts everything from capture to processing, refining, and sales, allowing her to deliver high-quality venison steadily while honoring the life taken.

By implementing capture methods that do not give excessive stress to deer, along with thorough and swift bleeding and butchering, she produces meat that is less gamey with a delicate texture.
Her philosophy is “hunting to eat deliciously.” NOYAMA resonates with Honkawa-san’s approach of engaging with life, not merely viewing wild animals as a mere "target for extermination," but including the act of eating in that respect. This led to the decision to use the venison she handles.

A chance to think about nature through food! A package like a picture book
The illustration on the can was created by artist and picture book author Machiko Miroko. Through the expression of a canned food that resembles a picture book with a narrative, it depicts a world where deer, embodying both the strength and gentleness of life, live, conveying the relationship with nature that lies behind this canned product.
