【Anti-Fog Measures】Which one has lasting effects? Wipe the inside of the front window glass to check effectiveness.
During this time, the concern when driving a car is the fogging of the front windshield. Once it fogs up, it's hard to remove, so it's preferably a point to take care of in advance. This time, I compared two items that claim to have a long-lasting effect, but… I put their effectiveness to the test.
I want to experience premium transparency with no fog

First, check out the "Interior Window Wet Wipes Advanced Anti-Fog" from Carmate. These anti-fog wipes, enhanced with high-adhesion polymers, keep their effectiveness longer while removing dirt like dust, pollen, and fingerprints, so it’s a two-for-one deal. They are a reliable ally during the humid rainy season.

The formula prevents streaks, so with just a quick wipe, there are no visible streaks at all. Even for this impatient writer, it’s easy to use and achieves this level of cleanliness without needing a second wipe.

Right after wiping, I brought a tumbler filled with hot water close to check... it didn't fog up at all, to the point of being unbelievable! Even after sunset when the temperature dropped and the side windows fogged up, the glass maintained a clear view. There was no glare either.

The anti-fog for 30 days sold at Don Quijote, actually...

Next, here we have the "Long-lasting Anti-fog Glass Cleaner Wet Wipes" that I bought at Don Quijote. The package boldly states, "Anti-fog for windows lasts about 30 days!" and this looks promising. The price is also 548 yen, which is a bit more affordable than Exclear Premium.

However, upon checking the back again, I felt that the labeling looked somewhat similar… And as it turns out, the manufacturer is the same Carmate!

The number of sheets, the ingredients, and the material of the sheets also seem to be the same. The texture and scent were also the same, but the price at 548 yen was a bit more reasonable than Exclear Premium. If we deliberately look for differences, although the size at Don Quijote is listed as being 1mm smaller, it doesn’t seem like that makes a significant difference. But, is there a difference in effectiveness?

I tried wiping right away. Compared to Exclear Premium, there might be slightly more streaks. The dirt on the inside of the front windshield has been cleaned nicely.

The moment the tumbler is brought close, it slightly clouds, but it disappears in no time. Compared to the Exclear Premium "Interior Window Wet Sheet Anti-Fog Strengthened," there is a slight difference in effectiveness, but this one is still quite excellent!
If you seek a more beautiful finish, Exclear Premium is recommended, while if you're looking for cost performance, Don Quijote is the way to go. However, personally, I belong to the camp that doesn’t want to leave wipe marks on the windshield, so if I buy again, I will choose Exclear Premium.

Is there a difference in effectiveness after one week?

Car Mate's "Exclear Premium Interior Window Wet Sheet Anti-Fog Strengthened" and Don Quijote's "Anti-Fog Sustained Glass Cleaner Wet Sheet." Since both sheets are made by the same Car Mate, they both exhibit high anti-fog effectiveness.
Of course, the concern is the sustainability of the effect.
The image above shows the windshield one week later (right side: Interior Window Wet Sheet Anti-Fog Strengthened, left side: Don Quijote). Both maintained their effectiveness without fogging. Until now, I’ve been reapplying fog care products every three days or so, but I learned that with these two items, the effectiveness remains unchanged for about a week.
Next, I would like to observe when fogging begins, aiming for a 30-day mark.
