The folding umbrella-style sunshade has become common in car shops for about 2 to 3 years now. It was sold at a reasonable price of 770 yen at Daiso. I have been using it for the past two weeks, and honestly, I feel that the quality is no different from the umbrella-type sunshade I purchased from a well-known manufacturer for about 2000 yen.

Many people might have the impression that the advantage of the foldable umbrella-type sunshade is that "installation is easy." I share the same thought and have loved using it for a long time.

When you spread it out like an umbrella, just lower the sun visor. It's easy to set up even while sitting, so it's definitely quick! It takes no time at all from taking it out of the storage bag to being in this state. It's especially convenient to attach it quickly while sitting down. There is a small gap in the windshield, but having it set up significantly reduces the rise in cabin temperature.

However, I felt it was "a bit unfortunate" regarding storage. The process of putting the umbrella-shaped sunshade into the storage bag feels a bit cumbersome on busy mornings. When things are hectic, I sometimes leave it out in the passenger seat. If only it weren't for this point, it would be a perfect score...

Next, I check the "Double-sided aluminum sunshade (standard)" from Daiso as well. Priced at 220 yen, it uses aluminum material on both sides and reflects sunlight and heat more efficiently.

On the upper part, there are two suction cups, and the installation is simple. It may depend on the size of the car interior, but for my car model, I was able to set it up just by reaching out from the driver's seat. Since aluminum material is used on both sides, it feels like the internal temperature does not rise as much compared to an umbrella-type sunshade.

This time, I installed it using the official method with suction cups for the sake of photography, but just lowering the sun visor provides stability as well. With this method, it can be set up as easily as an umbrella-type sunshade. For those who are concerned about the marks left by the suction cups, this installation method is recommended.

I was surprised when I used it after a long time, but the "double-sided aluminum sunshade" is really easy to store. Since it has creases, you can fold it up and simply bundle it with the included rubber for storage. Once you get used to it, you can fold it smoothly even while talking with family. Its slim design also helps as it can fit into the gaps in the seats.

During the two-week verification period, I had two sunshades in the car, but the one I naturally reached for was the "double-sided aluminum sunshade." Compared to the umbrella-type sunshade, it takes a little more effort to install, but the ease of storage is overwhelming.
