High protein meals at Hidaka-ya that are safe even while dieting! I tried ordering "yakitori don" and other dishes.
Not just popular among salarymen, "Hidakaya" is also a big hit with families. It's cheap and delicious, but as someone on a diet, there are just too many temptations! Just when I was thinking that, I discovered something called "yakitori don." It’s chicken, so it should be fine for lunch.

When it comes to Chinese cuisine, stir-fried dishes tend to have a high-calorie image. However, if it's "yakitori don," the body should be happy. So, I ordered the yakitori don (320 yen).

As a dieter, it's fine if there's less rice, but I want to eat a lot of side dishes! So, while casually looking at the menu to see if there was anything else, I found plenty of things that looked good.

There is also the single item "yakitori (with green onion)," so you can have "extra yakitori," but here I’ll select the nutrient-rich "edamame" (220 yen), the "Chinese-style flavored menma" (170 yen) that provides dietary fiber and protein, and the representative of healthy side dishes, "chilled tofu" (200 yen).
As you can see, the table has become luxurious! Let’s dig in right away.
First, I’ll start with the main dish of yakitori and rice. The well-seasoned yakitori pairs perfectly with the rice. It makes me want to eat more rice. But the temptation from the menma is incredible... It catches my eye for some reason. "Hurry up and eat!" the pressure is intense.

This was quite幸せ. Ginger, menma, yakitori, and rice are the best. The tofu, while completely a supporting role, occasionally coolly asserts itself, making me feel warm inside as if to say, "Sorry, I haven't forgotten about you."
Mixing various healthy dishes allows for enjoyment without guilt, which is the best. This wouldn't be possible with a parfait loaded with whipped cream.

If you enjoy too many different things, you might accidentally misallocate... before you know it, it's almost entirely a menma bowl. While doing that, the author completely forgot about the existence of edamame.
