【Recreating Ryuji's Recipe】 "Ultimate Pork Ginger Stir-fry" Supporting household finances! I tried making this rice terror ginger stir-fry with affordable pork slices.

Ryuji's recipe allows you to enjoy a taste similar to that of a specialty store with familiar ingredients. This time, I recreated a ginger stir-fry that allows you to savor the sweet and spicy flavor along with the aroma of ginger using pork slices. Amidst rising prices, this dish embodies Ryuji's desire to help households even a little.

The soaring prices of ingredients are painful... During such times, fill up with relatively affordable pork slices.

[Materials]
"Ultimate Pork Strips with Ginger" main ingredients.
Pork belly slices 220g
Onion 1/2 piece
Ginger 15g
Flour 1 1/2 tablespoons
Salad oil a little more than 1 tablespoon
Salt and pepper a pinch
Sake 2 tablespoons
Mirin 2 teaspoons
Soy sauce 1 1/2 tablespoons
Sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons
Ajinomoto 4 shakes
"How to make"

1. Cut the onion and ginger

Cut the onion into about 5mm slices, wash the ginger well with the skin on, julienne half of it, and grate the remaining half.

2. Season the pork and coat it with flour

Season the pork with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with flour to coat evenly.

3. Stir-fry the pork and onion

Heat salad oil in a frying pan, spread the pork and sauté. When the pork is browned, add the onion and sauté.

4. Season and plate

When the color of the onion becomes translucent and is cooked through, lower the heat to medium-low and add sake, mirin, soy sauce, and sugar. Once the sauce is well mixed, add all the chopped ginger and finish with monosodium glutamate. Plate it up and add fresh vegetables for garnish to complete.
The key is to sauté until the sauce evaporates!

What’s the taste of Ryuji's "Ultimate Pork Ginger Stir-fry"?

The pork slices and onions are nicely caramelized and look delicious. When you take a bite, the aroma of ginger wafts through your nose, while at the same time, the sweet and spicy flavor along with the rich taste of the pork slices and the sweetness of the onions stimulate your appetite.

Personally, I found that coating the pork slices with flour during the preparation kept the moisture, allowing me to enjoy the umami of the pork while retaining a juicy texture, which is a point I can use in future recipes.
The "Ultimate Pork Ginger Stir-fry" I made this time, as suggested by Ryuji, also pairs well with mayonnaise, so I took a bite for a flavor change. The sweetness and spiciness of the ginger stir-fry become mellow with the mayonnaise, making it go so well with white rice! It was truly a dish that could be called a rice terror.

Pork is rich in vitamin C, and ginger is also effective for preventing colds, so this recipe is perfect for this season when viruses tend to spread easily. I encourage everyone to give it a try.
