【Practical Report】Which is the optimal case for iPhone AIR chosen for lightness and cost-effectiveness?

It's been four months since I switched to the iPhone Air, and here's my reflection on the lightweight cases I found during that time. Based on cost performance and the feel in hand, which one did I ultimately settle on?

To fully utilize the advantages of the iPhone Air's lightness and thinness, I was torn about which case to choose

Even though I've used it with previous models, considering the deterioration of the built-in battery, I wanted to upgrade my iPhone. That's why last October, I traded in my iPhone 12 to get the iPhone Air.

In fact, the iPhone Air felt thinner and lighter in hand than the specifications suggest. So, I decided to look for a case that would maximize the benefits of this model, but I realized surprisingly that there aren't many good options available.

By the way, the case "iFace" that I used with the iPhone 12 weighs 43.5g. It has a bulky feel in hand and gives a sense of security when dropped, but it's not really suited for those who want to maintain a thin and lightweight profile.
Therefore, the "JETech" that I bought right away in October is a case characterized by its lightness and MagSafe compatibility.

Weighing in at 24.5g, it is indeed overwhelmingly lighter than the previous cases. In terms of material, it seems to offer some level of protection. However, the case itself has flexibility, and I found it unsettling that the iPhone and the case would shift (move) when held. After using it for about a month, my impression was unfortunately just "a transition to a more suitable case for myself."

Looking for an even lighter case! What are the impressions of the two cases used for about a month?

The "SwitchEasy" cover weighs less than 10g, and the material, thickness, and feel in hand are all very pleasant. The details of the construction also give a careful impression, and I used it for about a month.

I had no complaints about the cover itself, but the opening for the camera plateau (camera bump) is large, which made me want another protective cover. Coincidentally, the lens cover I bought measured 5g. The result was a heavy increase from a lightweight design that was meant to save 1g, and the balance when held also became poor, leading me to want to try out other covers after all.

Then I tried the "memumi," which also covers the camera plateau part, weighing exactly 8g. It feels a bit flimsy, but it fits the iPhone snugly, and it's even lighter than the previous brand!

The cover itself is quite thin, and while it doesn't provide much peace of mind regarding protection, so far I’ve dropped it quite dramatically about three times over the past month and there are no scratches on the iPhone itself at all. It feels better than holding it without a cover, and it seems resistant to scratches, so for now, I’m satisfied and calm with this one.
By the way, I’m using the "MagEasy iPhone Air compatible" lens cover along with this "memumi." This one weighs only 0.4g.

Everyone has their own balance of usability and lightness

If it fits the nature of the iPhone or smartphone, I don't dislike a bulky and heavy cover. Rather than the weight, I prefer the feel in one hand when operating it and the usability to match my way of using it, so finding that just right feeling is the most challenging.

Will this be it, or will there be lighter and more reassuring covers emerging? The evolution of cases for the iPhone Air is worth keeping an eye on.
