【New Sensation】 A slightly luxurious stay at the hot spring resort “HOTEL CLAD” within the outlet area
I stayed at the hot spring resort hotel “HOTEL CLAD” located within the Gotemba Premium Outlet. Reporting an experience that feels completely different from a shopping day, with its location, comfort, hot springs, and breakfast buffet. How about a weekend drive for adults?
At HOTEL CLAD located within the outlet

As I walk through the HILL SIDE area after arriving at Gotemba Premium Outlet, I can see a hotel standing on the hillside opposite. Each time I look up while taking a break from shopping, a sense of superiority wells up in me, thinking, "I'll be able to stay there tonight."

The access to HOTEL CLAD, as if it is part of the outlet, makes check-in smooth. Once I get into the elevator, I quickly reach the front desk. The comfort of being able to check in right after enjoying a lot of shopping at the outlet was a first-time experience for me.
Simple rooms surrounded by the greenery of the forest

In the lobby, the majestic view of Mount Fuji spreads out through the large windows with a height of 4 meters, making me stop in my tracks. The scale of it, as if it were painted, is completely different from the Mount Fuji I have been accustomed to, and I am overwhelmed.

This time, I stayed in a twin room on the forest side rather than the Mount Fuji side. From the window, the adjacent forest was visible all around, and a quiet and pleasant time flowed by.

The guest room was compact yet simple and well-organized without any waste, making it very calming. At the end of a day spent sightseeing and shopping, the space where I could rest quietly had a comforting feeling of being enveloped by nature.
There were also arrangements reminiscent of a summer festival in a hot spring area

in the evening, we changed into the provided loungewear and headed to the attached day-use hot spring "Kinohana no Yu" with the whole family. Guests can enter for free. The children were eagerly saying, "I can’t wait to get in," and the adults naturally engaged in more conversation, making the walk to the hot spring facility a small enjoyment.

The moment I entered the entrance of the hot spring facility, I was greeted by a tatami-floored raised area and a red paper umbrella. As soon as it came into view, my mood shifted, and the refined atmosphere of the hotel combined with the charm of a hot spring area was delightful.
As I advanced deeper, a tower stood before me, lined with red and white lanterns, creating a lively decoration reminiscent of a summer festival.

Before entering the hot springs, the children were enjoying ring tossing, and their laughter brought a warm feeling to my heart. The production capturing the unique excitement of traveling makes my spirits soar.
The luxury of soaking in an outdoor standing bath while gazing at Mount Fuji.

The attached Kinu-no-Hana no Yu features an outdoor bath and sauna with a view of Mount Fuji, allowing guests to soak while enjoying the scenery.
I first soaked in the spacious indoor bath. Greenery and light streamed in through the large windows, giving a sense of openness despite being indoors. The water temperature was just right, warming me gently from my toes. As I felt my body relax, I became intrigued by the outdoor bath.

What first caught my eye in the open-air bath was the standing bath with a depth of about 130cm. You can enjoy a panoramic view of Mount Fuji while soaking up to your shoulders in the water, allowing you to fully experience a sense of the extraordinary.
The stones used in the bathtub are said to be Ousawa stones quarried from the landslide area of Mount Fuji. Being surrounded by the strength of rocks weighing as much as 2 tons, you can truly feel the magnitude of nature.

The temperature of the water in the open-air bath is just right, giving a sensation of improved blood circulation just from standing.
After visiting with family in the evening, I returned alone at night and was captivated by the enchanting view of the outlet lights twinkling in the distance.
Since I was there, I woke up early the next morning to enjoy the open-air bath again, and in the clear air, the mountainside stood out distinctly, making it feel as though I was facing Mount Fuji one-on-one. By changing the time of day and visiting multiple times during my stay, I was able to thoroughly enjoy the diverse expressions of Mount Fuji, and I found myself indulging in the bath for a long time.

A pleasant morning welcomed by a breakfast buffet.

Enjoy a buffet breakfast exclusive to guests. The moment you step into the venue, the morning sun streaming through the large windows and the array of dishes lined up in front of you greet your sight, surprising you with their number. The dishes are diverse, encompassing Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisines, making it hard to decide what to take.

Attracted by the scent of freshly baked bread and soup, the time spent with family pondering, "Which one should we choose?" is also a delightful experience.

Along with the classic Japanese dishes like egg dishes and grilled fish, there are also fragrant breads like croissants and pain au chocolat, as well as warm udon noodles. When I greedily fill my plate with a little bit of everything, it quickly becomes full.

Sipping freshly brewed coffee while gazing at Mount Fuji brings a soothing sensation, as if my body is slowly waking up from deep within. The sense of freedom unique to travel adds to the experience, making me involuntarily think, "I want to stay here a little longer."
I thoroughly enjoyed a breakfast that naturally made me feel that both my mind and body were already satisfied, and that today would be a good day.

A place I want to choose for an adult weekend road trip.

Shopping, hot springs, stunning views, and a cozy breakfast. My stay at HOTEL CLAD, where everything can be enjoyed in one flow, made my Gotemba drive a special time. It's fun to chat in the standing bath after enjoying the outlet with friends, or to leisurely create breakfast plates with family. There aren’t many places where you can enjoy such a diverse experience.

The exquisite distance of 1 to 2 hours by car from Tokyo is perfect for refreshing yourself a bit away from everyday life. Gripping the wheel and heading towards Mount Fuji, there was an experience that enriched the weekend not just with shopping, but with a slightly luxurious stay.
