【Workman】Wearing the Ice Shock Cool Feeling -10℃ Long Sleeve T-shirt for 2 hours of sports! What is the real feeling when sweating?
How is the wearing comfort and the feeling when sweating with Workman's "Ice Shock Cool Feeling -10℃ Long Sleeve T-shirt"? I summarized the changes in comfort during baseball practice based on experience.
The weekends have become days for baseball practice with my son. "It's too hot, so should we skip it?"
Recently, weekends have been spent practicing baseball with my son. Simple activities like playing catch, fielding ground balls, and light running may not be anything special, but this kind of time surprisingly helps refresh the mind.
However, what concerns me is the heat. After just 15 minutes of moving around, I start to sweat profusely, and my shirt sticks to me. At that point, discomfort quickly increases, leading me to think, "Maybe just this much is enough for today," and wrap things up early. Even though I finally make it outside, the heat has become unbearable. I have been wondering if there's a way to move my body comfortably for a longer period of time.

Even though I finally make it outside, the heat has become unbearable. I have been wondering if there's a way to move my body comfortably for a longer period of time.
Changing my approach, I opted for the Ice Impact Cooling -10℃ Long Sleeve T-shirt.
So, I chose the Workman "Ice Impact Cooling -10℃ Long Sleeve T-shirt" because the name caught my attention. The key point is that it feels cool when you sweat. My previous choices in clothing revolved around "avoiding sweating" or "choosing items that dry easily," but this time I decided to try a different approach.
The long sleeves were a bit surprising, but if it can prevent direct sunlight, it might actually be a good thing. I decided to wear it and give it a try. Will it really be "comfortable"?
At first, it felt normal, but after starting to sweat, the experience changed!?
The impression right after putting it on was honestly quite simple. While there was a coolness, it felt more like a lightweight and easy-to-move long sleeve rather than being "very refreshing." The change was noticed after I started moving and began to sweat, just as the previous information suggested.
As I continued playing catch, I began to feel a slight sweat on my arms and back. At that moment, the areas where I was sweating felt a little cold. And when the wind hit, that coldness spread a bit further. It felt less like "becoming uncomfortable due to sweat" and more like "body temperature lowering due to sweat."
In the end, I was able to keep moving for about 2 hours.
The difference compared to before lies in the sensation during exercise. Normally, my shirt would stick to my skin, making it hard to concentrate due to the heat, leading me to want to take a break, but that changed a little.
Even though I was sweating quite a bit, the discomfort didn't accumulate easily. As a result, I found myself in a state where I thought, "I'll continue a bit longer," and ultimately, I was able to keep moving vigorously for about 2 hours. I feel that rather than having increased endurance, it's more significant that the shirt reduced environmental stress.

The reason I didn't mind it being long-sleeved
I was initially a bit concerned about it being long-sleeved. However, in reality,
- It doesn't receive direct sunlight
- The sweat creates a cooling sensation
- The fabric is light and doesn't cling
For these reasons, it may be less stressful than short sleeves. Particularly around the arms, as they are less affected by sunlight, it felt fairly stable.

It seems to elevate my active time in daily life
The biggest change I felt while wearing this shirt was not so much being amazed by its performance, but rather that it made it easier to keep moving. Previously, I would have cut my exercise short because of the heat, but now, without feeling like I was pushing myself, I was in a state of "I can still move."
As adults, if we don't pay attention, the time spent moving our bodies tends to decrease, but just becoming a little more comfortable seemed to change my behavior itself.

This shirt seems to have various applications beyond just baseball practice.
For example, as an inner layer when riding a motorcycle, it becomes easier to feel the cooling sensation from the wind while riding. As an inner layer for golfing, it should also help maintain comfort while moving. Of course, it also seems easy to use for light running, walking, outdoor play, and as an inner layer during work. Rather than being for special occasions, it feels like it could elevate my "active time in daily life."

The way to cope with the heat may change
What I felt after trying it is that it's not about "avoiding the heat," but rather "changing how to deal with the heat." The act of sweating itself doesn't change, but if that sweat feels comfortable, the quality of time spent moving changes. As a result, it led to changes like being able to move longer, not stopping midway, and lowering the hurdle to going outside.
I can't really tell if it has truly dropped by 10℃, but perhaps this kind of accumulation gradually changes how we live each day.
