【Drive to the Market】Very popular! I went to the market's "Takeya Shokudo" to eat an exquisite seafood bowl.

"Takeya Shokudo," quietly standing in Yokohama Central Wholesale Market. It seems to boast high popularity due to its flavor, volume, and cost performance. However, reaching that taste is a bit challenging.

It should be right around the corner! It's hard to find Takehouse Shokudo

There’s a cafeteria in the market where you can eat fresh seafood rice bowls. This time’s destination is said to be "Takehouse Shokudo" in the Yokohama Central Wholesale Market. There are reviews online that say things like "the freshness is outstanding" and "the portions are huge," so my expectations are sky-high. I’ve reduced my meal size since last night's dinner to prepare myself perfectly!
Since it’s my first time going, I was a bit anxious about the point that "the location is hard to find." There was a listing for Takehouse Shokudo on Google Maps, so I thought getting there would be smooth... but in reality, it’s quite challenging to arrive! The map shows it should be nearby, but I have no idea how to get there.
After looking through various reviews, I caught onto some information that it is located inside the fruit and vegetable market. While searching, I discovered the produce market next to Bandai Bridge, where I had passed several times. However, it seemed like a place only for insiders, and I worried about whether it was really okay for regular people to enter here. Stepping cautiously, I slowly drove forward. Then I spotted a security guard! When I asked, "Is this the right place for Takehouse Shokudo?" he kindly gave me directions.
With trucks and forklifts moving around, I felt like I was intruding. Repeating the directions I had just been told in my head, I proceeded with caution.
There it is… I found it! This is the destination, "Take House Shokudo." I arrived in the area at 8:30 AM, but I didn't actually reach "Take House Shokudo" until 9:00. That means I was wandering around the vicinity for about 30 minutes. There were many cars and bikes parked in front of the shop, which raised my expectations.

The very popular two-color rice bowl has dynamic volume.

Upon entering the store, a staff member with a gentle smile welcomed me. I stopped by on a weekday at 9:00 AM; besides myself, there were a few other groups of customers, and I also noticed some people who likely work at the market.

Inside the shop, there is a row of celebrity signatures displayed. I spotted signatures from famous people, including the yokozuna Hakuho! I’ve been quite into sumo wrestling these past few years, so I was really excited.
What I was aiming for this time was the highly popular two-color rice bowl. According to reviews, there were posts saying “If you don’t go early, it will be sold out,” so I was nervous while placing my order, but I was able to order it safely.
As I waited while staring at the previous sign, the long-awaited "two-color bowl" arrived. What is this volume! Although it's called a two-color bowl, it has toppings like chutoro, negitoro, and large toro, just like a four-color bowl. The content is so substantial that it could almost be called a four-color bowl.
The negitoro has larger-cut green onions as an accent! The fatty chutoro melts in your mouth while leaving behind its deliciousness. The rice isn't vinegared rice but warm white rice, allowing me to directly enjoy the taste of the fresh toppings.

I was completely satisfied from the morning! It turned out to be a meaningful day.

Feeling like my stomach might burst, I finally finished it all. Despite being only around 10 AM, it had been years since I felt such a sense of fullness... Today has just begun, so I decided to enjoy the sights around Minato Mirai nearby before heading home.
