【Day Trip】Did you know there's a ranch in Yokohama? Enjoy relaxation and gourmet food at "Augusta Milk Farm."

"Augusta Milk Farm" is a spot in Seya Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, where you can enjoy relaxation and gourmet food. It had good access from the city center and was a hidden oasis where you could spend a relaxed time.

You can see large cows and enjoy delicious soft-serve ice cream

There are days when I feel an overwhelming desire to see cows, perhaps longing for some healing. I am somehow drawn to their leisurely movements with those big bodies. Driving to the farm for a day trip is also an option, but I was a bit hesitant since I just traveled the other day.

Then, I happened to discover "Augusta Milk Farm" (Aizawa Good Farm) on social media. Upon checking, I found out that it not only has a farm but also offers all-you-can-drink soft serve ice cream and milk. Since I developed a hobby of exploring ramen shops, my appetite hasn't stopped, and the fact that I can see large cows and fill my stomach with delicious soft serve ice cream at a convenient distance from home... I just have to go!

I had the impression that farms are vast, but Augusta Milk Farm is located about 30 minutes by car from Minato Mirai, a representative tourist spot in Yokohama. It is also accessible from Tokyo Station in about an hour, making it a good location for urban access.
As soon as I stepped out of the parking lot, there was a cow monument. It seems to be popular as a photo spot, with people taking commemorative pictures.

There was a meeting with a calf.

As I walked along the side of the store, I discovered a cattle shed. I was surprised to find a cattle shed in such a residential area. When I peeked inside, there were many cows. The photo turned out dark and hard to see, but I was able to clearly identify the cows inside with my own eyes. I wanted to get a bit closer if possible, but I kept a respectful distance to avoid stressing them.
I thought I wouldn't be able to see a cow up close, but actually, there was a calf right nearby. Compared to adult cows, it's much smaller, and you can feel the ephemeral quality of it having just been born. It seems sleepy and moves slowly. Its cuteness made me lose track of time as I stared at it.
It's only available on weekends and holidays, but they apparently sell cow feed. Not only can you see them, but you can also enjoy interacting with them. I wanted to feed them!

Enjoy the farm experience with soft serve ice cream and a milk drink bar.

When you go to a ranch, you can't skip eating soft serve ice cream. The soft serve at Augusta Milk Farm is styled with toppings on special gelato. Honestly, I thought, "I could just have the soft serve," but that was a big mistake!

As I enjoyed the soft serve, which lets you taste the richness of fresh milk, I encountered the gelato buried underneath. This time, I chose café as the gelato flavor, and the compatibility of these two is excellent! When you eat the slightly bitter café flavor with the soft serve, you can enjoy a sophisticated taste like affogato.
I also tried the "Milk Drink Bar" (220 yen). When you come to the ranch, you drink milk, and this one is all-you-can-drink. Just like the soft serve, it's rich yet has a refreshing aftertaste. It was so delicious that I had two cups. I wanted one more, but I held back since my stomach might get upset.
"Augusta Milk Farm" in Yokohama is a spot where you can enjoy relaxation and gourmet food. Compared to typical ranches, the grounds are compact, but there were few people, allowing me to spend a leisurely time. The access was good, so I would like to stop by again.
