【Ramen Shop】Perfect to stop by before a baseball game! A report on the Kawasaki Mizusawa branch's famous "Negi Toro Men" frequented by players

The "Ramen Shop Kawasaki Mizusawa" is a famous place that even professional baseball players visit. The original menu item "Negi Toro Men" is popular. What kind of flavor will you encounter when “tororo” is combined with the Ramen Shop's signature negi ramen?

An abundance of original menu items! "Ramen Shop Kawasaki Mizusawa"

This time I stopped by the "Ramen Shop Kawasaki Mizusawa," which is located in the Miyamae Ward of Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. While the Ramen Shop is famous for its negi ramen, the Kawasaki Mizusawa branch is said to have a rich variety of original menu items such as negi toro men and cabbage ramen. There were also high praises in the reviews, with comments like "It was by far the most delicious among Ramen Shops."

Right next door, there is also a partnered coin parking lot. Since it's about a 30-minute walk from the nearest station, Tamaplaza Station, using the bus is recommended for accessing the location via public transportation.
As I entered, the interior was surprisingly spacious. The ticket vending machine accommodates barcode payments, making it very modern. As someone who exclusively uses cashless payments, I was thrilled. As I selected my desired menu item, it seemed customization like adjusting the flavor intensity could also be done at this vending machine. I recently realized that I prefer stronger flavored ramen, so I went for a richer flavor this time.

Lots of celebrity signatures!

Perhaps it’s because there’s a Yomiuri Giants stadium nearby? The walls are adorned with many signatures from celebrities, including baseball players. It felt different from other Ramen Shops I had visited before.

Ordered the original "Negi Toro Men" from the Kawasaki Mizusawa branch!

After purchasing from the vending machine, I took a seat. There were condiments such as grated garlic from Tsubaki Shokudo and "Raa Jan" lined up. The cleanliness was impressive, and there wasn't a speck of dirt in sight.
What I ordered this time was the original "Negi Toro Men" from the Kawasaki Mizusawa branch. It features the classic negi ramen topped generously with tororo. Oh, this has quite an impactful visual! I love tororo and often eat tororo rice at home, but I wonder if it pairs well with negi ramen?
Moreover, upon closer inspection, the tororo is cut into thin strips instead of being grated. And there's a lot of it! Since it’s served as a side topping, you can enjoy both the normal and tororo flavors.
Let’s mix in plenty of tororo and dig in. Oh? Maybe because of the tororo, the ramen feels heavy... The noodles are hard to lift. Finally managed to raise some noodles, which are well coated with sticky tororo.

This ramen is delicious! The mild tororo combines with the Ramen Shop's tonkotsu shoyu soup, resulting in a creamy flavor profile. I think choosing a stronger flavor was the right call. The crunchy texture of the tororo is also enjoyable. The seasoned green onions topped in the center and the tender chashu are all of high quality.
After eating a little, let's enjoy changing the flavor with the toppings as usual. The overall mild flavor allows the "Raa Jan" (doubanjiang) to work its magic. I usually only went for negi ramen at Ramen Shops, but "Negi Toro Men" is spot on for my taste. I must return to eat this again next week!
