【Rasyo Tour】The flavor of the sea hits hard! Do you know the specialty of "Tsukui", the seaweed ramen?
The author often stops by the "Ramen Shop Tsukui" after camping. I always eat the classic green onion ramen, but when I check the reviews, it seems that the "Iwa nori ramen" is delicious. When the familiar Iwa nori is added to ramen, what kind of taste will it have—?
Even on weekdays, the "Ramen Shop Tsukui" is bustling with activity

The "Ramen Shop Tsukui" is located in Midori Ward, Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The author often stops by after camping trips, always ordering the classic green onion ramen. The other day, I casually checked the reviews and saw the words "Iwanori Ramen." The comment about how "the combination of back fat and sea flavor is great" really caught my attention.
I have eaten at over 10 Ramen Shops, but among them, the ramen at the Tsukui location has high-quality soup and noodles. …In other words, the Iwanori Ramen must be delicious too. So, this time, I drove over to try it out.
The store has a parking lot that can accommodate about 30 cars. I stopped by on a weekday afternoon, but the parking lot was almost full.

Inside the store, a wide range of customers was bustling about. Since it was nearly full, I expected a wait, but surprisingly, the interior was spacious and I found an available seat. It seemed like I could be seated smoothly. The ramen shops I usually visit tend to have many male customers, but this one had quite a few female patrons. As usual, I purchased a ticket at the vending machine and headed to an empty seat.

As I sat back and relaxed, the "Iwanori Ramen (1,000 yen)" arrived in no time. Wow! Iwanori is topped around the ramen. Since I'm used to the green onion ramen from Ramen Shops, it felt quite fresh. There are also seaweed and nori, but the chashu is quite large.

Nearby is the famous Doshi no Mori Campground and the natural-rich area of Sagami Lake and Tsukui Lake. It's wonderful that there’s a menu using Iwanori, a sea delicacy, in such a location... the contrast is quite nice, isn't it?

Well then, let's take a bite right away. Just when I thought the flavor of the soy sauce tonkotsu was floating in, the taste of the sea comes rushing in. This flavor is stronger than I imagined! There’s also a crunchy texture, and it’s a completely different taste from the familiar Rasyo. The usual negi ramen has more than enough flavor, but this seaweed ramen is on a whole different level of deliciousness.

Now, for the final push. As always, I’m topping it with garlic. It has a solid punch, but maybe because of the sea flavor, it tastes a bit different from usual. Here, I take a bite of the char siu that’s topped on it. Oh! It’s so tender that it involuntarily makes me exclaim at how delicious it is.
I thought the seaweed was the star of the ramen, but I didn’t expect the char siu to be of such high quality too! Once again, I’m finishing this in no time. I have to stop by again after the camping trip scheduled for next month.
