[3COINS] Hydrate just by chewing while running! I tried running with the hands-free 880 yen "Wristband Bottle."
The "Wristband Bottle" from 3COINS that can provide water just by wrapping it around your wrist and biting the nozzle. I tried it out during an actual run.
Every time I go running, I have struggled with hydration
It has been a constant and rather mundane issue for me since I made running a habit, and that is how to hydrate. Especially in the summer, if I set out without anything in my hands, I get thirsty halfway through and it becomes tough. However, I couldn't stand the idea of running while holding a plastic bottle.
Having one hand occupied, and the contents shaking and making noise with every run, the splashing sound it creates… the inside of my hand becoming sticky with sweat and condensation from the bottle adds to the stress.
Stopping at a convenience store just for hydration interrupts my running rhythm and feels bothersome. In the end, I feel like I only ran short distances, thinking, "I should get back before I get thirsty."

Could this be the solution to that frustration!? The "Wristband Bottle" I bought from 3COINS for 880 yen. It's a small 200ml bottle that you can wrap around your wrist. Honestly, at first I was half skeptical, thinking, "Doesn't wrapping a bottle around my wrist get in the way?"
Do you really just wrap it around your wrist? I was surprised by how easy it was to attach
Using it was simple. Just fill the spout with water, close the cap, wrap the band around your wrist, and secure it with the Velcro. There's no hassle in preparation, and putting it on and taking it off takes only a few seconds. Since I wouldn't continue if prepping before a run is troublesome, this convenience was a pleasantly surprising point.
When I actually wrapped it around my wrist, it fit snugly more than I expected. Since it's made of Velcro tape, I can adjust how tight it is myself, and set it to a position that is neither too tight nor too loose.
While running, it felt like I added another watch without it slipping down, so I almost forgot that I was wearing it at all. My doubts about whether it would be a hindrance disappeared just a few minutes after I started running.
I can drink without stopping or slowing down.
What impressed me the most is being able to hydrate without breaking my running rhythm at all. When I bring the nozzle close to my mouth and gently bite down, water comes out instantly. There's no need to suck hard, nor to open and close a cap. I just lift my wrist up to my mouth and can drink while running.
It felt like a lie that I had to slow down and walk every time I needed to hydrate; I could take in fluids without stopping my feet. Just this "not having to stop" made me feel good while running.

Having both hands free made me truly appreciate this for the first time. Since my arm swings are not hindered, my form isn't disrupted. I'm liberated from that feeling of having one hand restricted when I was holding a water bottle, and it makes me feel lighter and more agile while running than usual.
200ml is just right for running
The capacity of 200ml is by no means excessive, but when you actually try running with it, it turns out to be just right. For regular runs of a few kilometers, it's sufficient to moisten your mouth occasionally. Instead of gulping down water, the idea is to take small sips before you feel thirsty, so that by the time you finish running, you have just about finished it.
Conversely, if the capacity were larger, it would feel quite heavy to run with on your wrist. I felt that the balance between lightness and capacity fit well with the usage of running while strapped to the wrist.
The main body is made of soft silicone, making it lightweight, and you hardly notice any swaying while running. Even as the water level decreases, the center of gravity remains stable, and it was consistently balanced throughout. After using it, you can fold it up and take it home, which is convenient because it doesn't add to your load.

Just the right hydration for those who want to run hands-free
Since I started using this wristband bottle, the barrier to running in the summer has lowered. The hassle of holding a plastic bottle and the inconvenience of stopping to hydrate are gone, allowing me to start running lightly whenever I want. If this comfort can be had for just 880 yen, it's more than sufficient.
Since getting the wristband bottle, I've been able to run slightly longer distances without feeling pressured. I think it’s just the right method of hydration for those who want to run hands-free or regularly sip water while running.
